Link TV's CINEMONDO is a nationally broadcast, ground breaking world cinema series hosted and co-curated by Peter Scarlet, Artistic Director of the Tribeca Film Festival. CINEMONDO brings international cinema with great artistic, cultural and political value to the living rooms of Link TV’s American audiences.
CINEMONDO's first season saw screenings of award-winning films from countries as diverse as South Korea and Greece. The latest season, now airing, features seven outstanding movies that introduce Americans to the unique visions of leading filmmakers from Belgium, Brazil, Burkina Faso, France, Germany, Morocco, Singapore and Tunisia.
Several of these fantastic films are followed by revealing, 10 to 15 minute interviews by Scarlet with the directors including Nouri Bouzid, Fanta Régina Nacro and the directing team of Colin Goh and Yen Yen Woo. The interviews, as well as a special in-depth conversation between Scarlet and acclaimed Kurdish-Iranian director Bahman Ghobadi filmed in Erbil, Iraq in late May 2007, are also available on Link TV's CINEMONDO page.
Hosted by Peter Scarlet, Artistic Director of the Tribeca Film Festival , CINEMONDO airs every Saturday at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m. ET. Tune in for repeats Wednesdays 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET. Air times for individual films are available on Link TV's online schedule and on the CINEMONDO page.
