Another remarkable documentary series is 'BREAKDOWN'!
It was difficult,as an ordinary secular American, who believes in the same intangible God as any Muslim or Jew,to watch this documentary of fact.
I am against the occupation, and I want to shout to the ordinary peace-loving Iraqi people,"Please don't believe that the majority of Americans agree with what the 'Bush' Government is doing, because WE DON'T."
I am disgusted with our present administration, because although other Presidents have had their 'agendas' set, they often had the diplomacy to act prudently(which does not excuse it,just the same). This administration has blatantly and recklessly led us into an occupation and OUR boys and girls, and thousands of Iraqis, are presently, DYING FOR A LIE!
And,how dare they(the administration),undermine our intellect,by confessing to have made "mistakes"!! Mistakes, my ****.
In my opinion, they(the admin)KNEW,when they started, that by getting rid of Saddam, they were taking the 'lid off a sectarian volcano'which would erupt, because of deep-down differences, divisions and long-term bitterness. This would fill th media channels and innocent lives, while 'The Corporations' built their permanent bases in Iraq(oil and military)and brought in the mercenary forces(Blackwater,Halliburton,KBR,Prince etc etc)!
What a blatant travesty of ethics and morals of a Governmental administration,to throw in the face of their citizens. It breaks my heart and offends my intellect.
'Breakdown',is a excellant series and I wish I had the $200+ to purchase it,because I would send it to my Senator. But,heck,he earns more than me, and might not appreciate it anyway!
I love my country, and have travelled much overseas, meeting wonderful people of many cultures. And at the end of the day,we(ordinary people)are all the same!
I think that is why I am so nauseated,by the international damage to our credibility, that the present Bush administration are irreversibly creating. They ARE being "reckless",(Phyliss B.) at the expense of the American people,AND we will have to pick up their'dirty'mess,as they 'skip off'to count their personal tax-free 'war' profits!!!! Just like the Iraqi people will have to ick up their mess,at their end.
At the same time,I DO hope that the Iraqi people, will stand up to any MUSLIM FUNDAMENTALISTS,who mean their fellow muslims harm for political reasons and regional/resource power. There is nothing more hypocritical that seeing people defacing their own religion, and damaging the true-believers in the search for personal power and control(including loss of freedom to others).
Thankyou LinkTV,for bringing us all these wonderful, factual documentaries.
Keep them coming.If it's the truth,it doesn't always 'taste' good.But that's better than a 'sweet-tasting' Corporate lie!
That's life! Weapons of Mass DECEPTION!

Link TV needs more documentaries like Manufacturing Consent. At the risk of sounding corny, Noam Chomsky is a national treasure. If I hadn't accidently stumbled across his book by the same name in the late 80's I'd probably be still be hating the news while oblivious to the reasons why. Chomsky has incredibly insightful observations backed mounds of data and research. I've yet to find anyone who can dispute his assertions with the level of detail and research he puts into his original arguments.

Keep 'em coming LinkTV
