I don't know whether you have aired the documetary 'Control Room'(Magnolia Pictures)which won the 2004 Grand Jury Prize,as well as many other awards?
I have only just managed to see it,and it was a real eye-opener.Especially regarding the orchestration and spin of the global media covering the beginning of the American "mission", on Iraq and Saddam etc,in 2003.
Amy Goodman,quite rightly,defends the freedom of the press,and this documentary highlights how governments/military control and rehearse the so-called 'spontaneous','as-it-happens' news. It never ceases to amaze me,how censored and selective the American corporate news IS becoming,in this great nation of liberty and 'freedoms'! It's almost TEHRAN-ICAL! lol!
I don't know whether you have aired this yet,but it provokes more question on what exactly IS the 'truth' and not just media spin! And why the ordinary people are not buying it any more,because they are NOT THAT STUPID!
Many poignant questions,of common-sense, are addressed in this great documentary.
