We know that humans have a tendency of killing what they are scared off and we want more guns?
with all those new fears?
I believe that is the government job to protect ,if they take some wars off the map they could hire more cops from the military forces and protect better their citizens

After losing both the house and senate the last time the democrats picked this fight, they are in no mood to repeat that mistake. Even the so called assault weapons ban has already been declared DOA by the congressional leadership.

The fact that guns and ammo have been flying off the shelves ever since the election I think was also a wakeup call to Obama as well as congress that more than ever people want to exercise their right to 'keep and bear arms'.

The peoples' increasing frustration with crime and the legal system, as well as the poor cops who have to operate with both hands tied behind their backs and get blamed for everything, will only be cause for more liberalizaion of gun laws like shall-issue carry permits and the castle doctrine.

As the officers on my local crime watch program told us, "it takes us 20 minutes to reach you" then proceeded to quote all the time it takes for various crimes. The bottom line was "You're on your own for that first 20 minutes, so if you're not proficient with a hand gun, buy a shotgun and keep it accessible near the door".

Just to show how whacked the laws have become, they also said "if you shoot him and he falls out the door, just drag him back in and we'll take care of it", (that actually happend to and aquaintance of mine and they did indeed take care of it!).

Hang on to your 2ND AMENDMENT folks,looks like new laws on CITIZENS GUN RIGHTS,and IMMIGRANTS/? 'possible terrorists'(more profiling)access to guns is in the Congressional 'crosshairs'.Bet it start in NewYork, or D.C.(in the newly zoned voting district/seat)
