You have to remember that the small groups of Taliban were confined and controlled by the Pakistan people and army very well PRIOR to the US stomping in.
The reason why the Taliban are so visible now and better manned,equipped and funded is BECAUSE we are there messing with Pakistan.Some of the "Taliban" are not even original Taliban(radical mercenary recruits from abroad),who flocked in because the USA invaded,attacked Pakistan.Exactly what happened in 89-90 when the Ruskies moved in and the US hired and armed Osama Bin Laden as one of their CIA agent/guerrillas/fredom fghters(later to labelled "terrorist" when no longer pro-American).
Everything that is happening in Pakistan is politically just what the US and Israel want.De-stabilisation of Govt.Divide the tribes.Displace the people.Weaken the National Security and BINGO! You have the perfect excuse to overturn and occupy under the guise of 'establishing stability,democracy and safeguarding(nubbing) the nuke arsenal.

The Taliban(students of Islam/Quran) have been in Afghan/Pakistans Khyber region since 1870's.
Infact,the BRITISH GRENADIERS fought the black-turbanned "Taliban" guerrillas in 1878-82,when the British Army suffered a TERRIBLE massacre whilst trying to occupy the region(and failed like everyone else in history since Alexander the Great).
Maybe Hilary was confused and thinking of the mujahadeen "al-Qaeda" which was trained,equipped,armed and funded by America,Saudi and the Persian Gulf region(and still is) to assist the US/Afghans to fight the 'atheist/communist' Ruskies!

Of course the majority of Afghan/Pakistani people hated al-Qaeda as much as they still hate them and the TALIBAN.
But with the invading hypocritical,'UNGODLY',white-man speaking with forked tongue' stomping around it's better the devil you know.....
