This admin is an epic fail on the domestic front, and stellar performer on the international front. Just wait till all that stimulus is spent and We The People see how little of it ended up in our hands. The best they can do is get this economy spluttering again for a while. The entire system is a century overdue for an overhaul but the people we have shirked our responsibility on, our elected leaders, are mostly compromised by that system. Localize and produce, this is the only thing that will change the economy in the end. Any other step is to throw money into a leaky system. But there are many drastic measures that the gov could take to change things in the short term. But the bottom line blame lays in our hands, We The People. People want change and are scared of it, so they stick to the same comfortable failing things, that way they can blame someone. Don't blame Obama too much, he said we would need to keep him on track and we haven't. It was obvious to many of us that this would be an uphill battle even more after we won the election. I found myself being a happily silenced skeptic for the 1st few months. But as we already know, if you want something done, you'd better do it yourselves.

Economy vs Environment? This is no contest at this point. I'm sad to be part of a species so out of touch with the real bottom line here that they still mull about scratching their heads on this. Environment finally fails and you can kiss your Economy, Health Care, Social Security and National Security all goodbye.

There are certainly no "magic wands" in real life,and when life gets nasty at the hands of people who should be TRUSTWORTHY,who promise us so much for our votes, then drop us in the gutter,that's the time to fight back with the truth and expose their lies and corruption.
The only problem is,is that telling,hearing,seeing the truth is not always pleasant,I know. But it's our duty to uphold truth and justice.
I lose sleep worrying about good people across the planet being abused and abandoned by their elected leaders or corrupt dictators or both!
It's not easy to have sweet dreams when you see nightmares in reality!
But I can't be an EMU either,and bury my head in the sand.I care too much about truth,dignity,integrity,the future of my grandchildren,Nation and foreign nations all over the globe,because basically we are all the same.
Burying heads,in sand,doesn't make life better either.
That's why I write to my Senators/Representatives frequently,either to critisize OR applaud them.
They are ONLY our PUBLIC SERVANTS,and should heed the word,wishes,freedoms,of the people within our struggling 'democracy'.
We are all in the same boat,even when it get's really rocky.
And some get MORE sea-sick than others,lol!

I have a hard time as well but I feel better knowing that the are people like us that all we want is white light and peace for all
don t always sleep well but I am sure that the are many more that would like a magic wand for at least a day

g/r Maybe my sense of outrage blinded my last reply, & as they say, never reply to an e-mail when you have tasted of the vine. I would be happy to find out that we do have truth as a common goal. I just get so frustrated that so many regular people are being denied their voices.
I am appalled that European/US money has been approved for Zimbabwe when we all know that it will all land in the lap of the Dictator & the people will continue to starve.
Damn, there are so many problems. As one person, how can we make a difference without driving ourselves crazy?????

No, say it ain't so Joe--I was just getting used to having the socialist way of life crammed down my throat, not to mention Obama allowing the Govt to take more and more control of our 'way of life'.
