I was so outraged to see in the newspaper this a.m.that some US Navy submarine(USS HAMPTON)sailors had DELIBARATELY falsified written safety reports,FOR OVER A MONTH(as far as they are saying),CONCERNING THE DAILY safety checks of the submarines NUCLEAR REACTOR!!!!!!!
These checks had NOT BEEN DONE,and phoney reports were given to their superiors,to cover up that fact!
This behaviour is DISGRACEFUL,dishonourable and CRIMINALLY NEGLECTFUL as military personnel and CITIZENS!
Shameful behaviour,that warrants a strict military court martial,dishonourable discharge and loss of all military benefits!(retirement or health etc)AT LEAST!
The consequences of their criminal behaviour, COULD HAVE BEEN mass murder/manslaughter,not only of their fellow ship-mates and families,BUT ALL other civilians in the local area,had they been in port/dry dock,on maintaince etc.
The 'what-ifs' and 'could-have beens' are too horrific to think of.
I have written letters to 3 different Senators to express my outrage at this lack of discipline and dishonourable behaviour. Right through the chain of command,THEY MUST BE HELD ACOOUNTABLE for their crimes.
It's bad enough that our government and military heads,fired up by self-serving Corporations,have blatantly led the American people into an illegal occupation based on lies and corruption.
It's bad enough that REAL Democracy is becoming a thing of the past in this AA-ME-RR-I-CAHHH!
BUT,to also hear that some of those in it's military,who swear an oath to serve and protect,are playing daily DEADLY games of neglect with NUCLEAR REACTORS on US Navy vessels,and ARE not concerned with the possible consequences,IS OUTRAGEOUS!!
-The Air Force is flying ACTIVE nuclear warheads between inland bases?
-Now,sailors are,knowingly and willingly,IGNORING their duties of safety maintenance on submarine NUCLEAR REACTORS?
