Mr.Omer has his own website at Rafahtoday.org and writes for the WRMEA and IPS and various free press(Sweden,Holland,USA,UK etc).
John Pilger has written about Mr.Omer's physical and psychological abuse at the hands of the Israeli border guards at Allenby Bridge after his return from the UK prize awards(Martha Gellhorn)with fellow journalist Dahr Jamail.
Mr.Omer still has broken ribs,damage to his body parts/back and apparently is receiving medical care in Holland,after ONE YEAR still.
Another young journalist Fadel Shanah was murdered(along with his cameraman)by a delibarately-fired Israeli tank missile even though he was in a CLEARLY marked "TV" truck.
There are lots of articles on Mr.Omer and his fellow journalists,and how they are abused and violated in the Gaza Strip.
The post below is the initial EMT report after Omer was beaten by guards at Allenby and transferred to hospital.
Apparently there was a young woman,waiting in the hall outside the room(at Allenby Bridge)where Omer was forced to strip,then dragged across the floor and kicked(ribs and groin)and beaten.
She protested to the guards at the way he was being treated.
