Texas man's Taser death ruled as homicide:

So now can we BAN Tasers and indict the cops for their 'enthusiasm' in controlling this mentally ill patient now dead?
It doesn't take a genius to see that these tasers,in the wrong hands are nothing more than mobile electrocution death-sentences whether cardio-respiratory or neurologically.

hey Grassroots I think you should watch that video again and really see how rude that "man" was acting. I believe that Gwen Kaster was also using her freedom of speech and she has every right to say what she thinks they should have done. If that man wanted to say something he should have said it and be done with it, but No he choose to fight with the police and that is the reason he was being tasered. He was being a threat to the police and other people. So I agree with Gwen Kaster in saying that they sould have beaten him with some batons. It seemed to me that he would have hurt those police men if they didn't taser him. I bet if the police would have let that "man" speek any longer he would have become violent anyway.

I think Senator John Kerry should demand an official apology from the University of Florida on behalf of Andrew Meyer, who was assaulted and tazed by security guards for doing what HE HAD A RIGHT TO DO! Ask questions of our public servants, whose salary WE pay!
I just watched the Youtube video,to decide for myself whether Andrew was being rude or obstructive. He wasn't! He is an American,a voter, who has a right to speak and ask questions.Senator Kerry did not appear to be offended and was about to answer Andrews question before the tazer-thugs waddled in.
I was so embarrassed for Andrew and they way THEY offended him!
The story in McClatchy Newspapers even quoted another student who IS A "Religion major",of all things who(Gwen Kaster) said,"They should have beat him with some batons while they were at it"!!!!
Very tolerant and understanding of you Gwen!
Senator Kerry, you need to speak up for Andrew's right to free speech(if you have the balls?)which is the very essence of "Democracy".
And,M/S Kaster,I suggest you RETHINK your major or join the Taliban. They are good at beating defenseless people with sticks and "batons" and denying them their voice!
The issues that Andrew Meyer was addressing(voter abuse, election abuse and fraud etc)ARE real problem issues in the USA,at present.
The President we have now was NOT elected he was S-ELECTED! Through corruption and fraud,NOT Democracy! And America is on it's way to ANOTHER election SOON!
I think Andrew is due a PUBLIC APOLOGY from the University AND KERRY,at least!
