It's certainly mindboggling to see guerillas,terrorists,freedom-fighters,movements,factions,organisations etc turn into budding political parties,shaking hands,talking of peace and independence and accepted by global establishments,where just a 3-4 decades,up to the present even,they were(are)viewed as deadly terrorist organisations by those seeking to stifle their peoples autonomy and freedoms. In fact,some of them,20++years ago,would be whispering about which hotels,planes,embassies to hit,either offensively or RETALIATORY.
Just like the Israel's Stern and Irgun gangs 30-40 years before that,on the British!
But I guess that's the WHOLE point.
When someone threatens to take away evrything that has always been yours,or GIVEN TO YOU, you damn well fight for it,until you're dead or recognised with respect.

A branch of guerrilla-cum-freedom fighter-cum-politician-cum-President-cum Nobel PEACE PRIZE winner Yasir Arafat al-Qudwa's PLO/PA,viewed by many as a DEADLY "terrorist" force especially when backed by Hezbollah,the PFLP-GC,or again the Iranian Pasdaran(IRGC).
Fatah: Formed in the 1950's,'baptized formerly' in the 1960's and after all these years of "terrorist" or guerrilla/freedom fighter activities(depending on where and how one views it)now gathering in pinstripes(with khaffiyas of course)and briefcases(hopefully no bombs enclosed),to talk about PEACE,FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY and BROTHERHOOD,as opposed to corruption,war,death,and betrayals.
It's ALL very exciting,and stimulating as to the possibilities for PROGRESS and PEACE. It's better than terrifying and threatening.
But,is it JUST WORDS,gesticulations and posturing similar to Israel's tactis of 4-5 decades?

Or can we expect REAL "CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN",LOL?
