This is going to end up as a NON-ARAB Turkmen(Barzani etc)Kurdish fight against Semite Arab Iraqi/Kurds(Talabani etc).
Many of the forces(US and Iraqi Kurdish)are up in Northern 'KURDISTAN' to-be where all the OIL,GAS and PHOSPHOROUS(uranium to-be)are.
They(Israel and US)are already arming training the Iraq Turk-Kurds to protect the border(pipeline) area between Kirkuk,Sulaimaniya and Mosul,knowing that just over the border there are the INDO-PERSIANS!!!
Sunni V Shia, radical V moderate, Turkmen V Semite Arab, and ALL THE LUBBLY OIL AND GAS STILL LAYS UNDER THE SHIA CRESCENT,so I bettya there will be a seceded KURDISTAN soon as a buffer zone between Iran and Arab Iraq.
Iraq will be controlled by US controlled moderate SHIA mainly,and the Sunni Arabs(radical or moderate) will get marginalised and shoved down toward the Saudi border! Wow! Maybe Joe Bidens plan of separate Iraqi Republics will pan out?
1)Kurdistan(with all the resources that US/EU wants.
2)Shiastan Iraq,including Baghdad.
3)Sunnistan down near wahhabi-led Saudi? LOL.

Let's face it,as soon as the Central Asian/Near East competetive pipelines get pumping full blast,wahhabi Saudi will seem less important to the USA(even if extracting Central Asian oil will cost 3 times as much as Saudi/Gulf crude).
And,there's no doubt Radical Fundamental Sunnis have been a pain in the oil-spigot for the US Govt and oil companies for years and drained the US of a lot of bakshish.
Then there is that LONG history of snobbery/elitist ties between the Jewish people and the Indo-Persian people.Despite their belligerent insults to each other,historically they have ONE BIG THING IN COMMON: both view the semite Arabs as 'INFERIORS'.
I have a feeing the USA is about to gradually flip-flop on the Sunni Arabs(especially as Saudi/Gulf crude reserves diminish) and start an 'oily','gassy' smooch-dance with the moderate Shia and Turkmen Kurdish all the way thru'Afghanistan,thru'the 'stans' thru' Iraq to Israel/Turkey and the EU.
Not forgetting that the "custodian" al-Saud's are HEAVILY INVESTED in the Central-Asian US pipeline.
Iran,Syria,Russia and China will be competing with that with their own pipelines running parallel.
Hey,anywhere the OIL/GAS gushes,so lay the US Corporate Govt foreign relations loyalties.
That's why most of the US troops,Israel Mistavarim and private mercenaries are OUT OF BAGHDAD and up in 'KURDISTAN',along the oily Iraq/Iran border!
I sure hope the Iraqi Arab people protect their Nation and resources TOGETHER,before Iraq is sliced up like a pizza!
Our Govt under Bush and Obama has already stolen TOO MUCH from them and devastated their Nation.
And the US Govt/Oil-boys won't care who gets injured/killed in the fighting as long as those with the UAS SIGNED OIL/GAS leases come out tops!
As long as oil is PROFITABLE and FINITE, blood and talk is VERY CHEAP!

When the surge was in full swing in and around Baghdad, the Iraqi insurgency retreated, but since June 30, when U.S. troops in Iraq withdrew from urban centers, some insurgents moved right back in, while others shifted their attention to the Iraqi north.
