The CIA should have been talking to Mohammed Abu Talib,one of the Moh'd Hafiz Dalqamuni's PFLP/GC associates who they knew had been in Malta from Oct 3-18 and again,Oct 19-26 1988.Apparently he bought a lot of Maltese clothes and could well have planted them in a bag on the same flight schedule.Both guys received huge checks(almost 12 million bucks)through Swiss bank accounts in the following weeks/months after Pan Am 103 went down.
And all because the USS Vincennes shot down,over Hormuz,the Iranian Airbus previously,also killing all civilian passengers and crew onboard!
It will ALL come out in the wash!

It's all going to come out in the wash that Meghrahi(who was/is certainly no angel now or then)was,however,actually set up by other terrorist groups of that time,along with quick clean wrap-ups by some European Governments.
The US CIA were very aware of who actually was behind it,they JUST couldn't finally pin it on them.So,it's look for a 'patsy' time.
