Those of you who think Israel is "persecuting" the "poor innocent Palestinians" are viewing this conflict from a flawed perspective. You are hostage to a position which you probably haven't even considered critically, one that is shared by both extreme-leftists and Islamists. Islamists HATE leftists and everything they stand for (secularism, humanism, democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, women's rights, human rights, etc.) so why does the extreme-left identify with an Islamist cause? Simple. The US supported Israel, so the old Soviet Union opposed it and backed its enemies, the Muslims. They framed the conflict as "poor colonized proletariat fighting for their independence from Western capitalist-imperialist Jews". But of course, this conflict is very different from other anti-colonial conflicts. The British, who colonized the area after world war I, are of course long gone. It wasn't the Palestinians who drove them out, but the Jews.

If you look at this conflict objectively, you'll soon see that the Israelis are the real underdogs - much moreso than the Palestinians. Because truly, it's not "Israel vs. Palestinians", so much as "the whole world against the Jews" (except for the US and maybe the UK).

Of course, few people are capable of looking at this objectively, because most people in the world are prejudiced against Jews, either because of their Islamic or Christian heritage, or because of a neo-Nazi or neo-com worldview (yes, neo-com, as in COMMIE). Plain old jealousy also plays a huge role, as Jews tend to be intelligent and driven, and therefor successful. Successful minorities are always hated - compare with the Chinese in Southeast Asian countries or the Indians in Africa.

Before you deny it, let me ask you - you who hate Israel so much - why do you care about the "Palestinians"? Why do you obsess over the Israel-Palestine conflict? Do you care as much about the Tibetans and Uigurs trying to free themselves from the genocidal Chinese occupation? The Georgians, Ukrainians, Estonians and others who are trying desperately to resurrect their identities, reclaim their homelands and free themselves from Russian domination? How 'bout the Kurds, divided between and oppressed by 4 different Muslim nations? Do you care about the women, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Baha'is, atheists, leftists, free-thinkers, homosexuals, liberals, secular-modernists and others who are persecuted, terrorized and murdered all over the Muslim world? Nah. You don't give a shit about any of those people, and truth be told, you don't care about the "Palestinians" either. You just hate Jews, and pretend to care about Palestinians in order to escape the charge of anti-Semitism. You're too cowardly to just admit that you hate Jews.

Israel belongs to the Jews just like Tibet belongs to the Tibetans. Whether or not you believe "god" gave it to them, whether or not you even believe in "god" (I don't), that little tiny sliver of desert by the Mediterranean has been the only homeland of the Jewish people for thousands of years. After 2,000 years of forced exile, chased from one country to another after being robbed and massacred, who can blame them for wanting to return to their own land and once again have their own country where they can be left alone to live their lives?

Palestinians, on the other hand, are really just Levantine Arabs, no different from Jordanians, Syrians or Lebanese, and not much different from Egyptians, Iraqis, etc. They could easily live in any of these other Arab countries, as there is virtually no difference between them. Same language, same accent, same religion, same ethnicity, same food - everything is the same. With all the land and vast oil wealth the Muslim world possesses, not to mention all the money they waste on weapons, propaganda and terror-training, it would be very easy to provide these people citizenship, homes, schooling and jobs.

So why won't these other Arab countries just accept these "Palestinian" Arabs into their countries? After all, they're "Arab and Muslim brothers", right? Here's why: ISLAM. Islam says it's good and right for Muslims to conquer other people's lands and forcibly Islamize or kill the people, but it's never OK for non-Muslims to take back their own land from Muslims. Moreover, Islam claims to be the successor religion to Judaism and Christianity, and therefor superior to them. Conquering and occupying Israel and the Christian lands of the Near East was/is symbolic of Islam's superiority and dominance over these other religions. That is why they built that mosque on top of the ruins of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem, and also why they turned the Byzantine Greek Orthodox basilica of Santa Sophia into a mosque.

And so the Muslim nations have cruelly conspired to keep their "Palestinian" brothers cooped up in squalid refugee camps for 60 years, in order to keep them desperate, poor, miserable and angry, the better to brainwash them with Islamist hatred and use them as cheap cannon-fodder against the Jewish people. It is the Muslims who want war, not the Israelis. Even if Israel agreed to all of their current demands (1967 borders, right-of-return, etc.), that would not be the end of it. They will only be satisfied when Israel is completely destroy. And they hope to "kill all the Jews" in the process. Even then they wouldn't be happy - they would then focus on re-conquering India, and Spain, and Portugal, and Sicily, Greece, Serbia, etc., etc., etc.

Consider this analogy: in 1945 millions of German civilians were raped, murdered and driven out of lands which had been German for thousands of years. Those refugees were accepted as full citizens by the new state of West Germany. Today, they are completely assimilated into the German population. What if instead the West German government had forced those people to live in squalid, horrible refugee camps along the Czech border, and indoctrinated them with hatred and a war-mongering, murderous spirit, so that they would infiltrate Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Russia to bomb and terrorize innocent civilians for the next 60 years?

That is what the Muslim countries have done to their "Palestinian brothers" these last 60 years.
