Why did the company just closed without sending notification to its employees. They must consider that their employees are depending on the company for their living. But now they have thrown it.
All locations of the printing supply store Ink Stop are effectively closed. The decision was recently made to shut every single store down as of Thursday, October 1st, and not to reopen until some effective changes were made. A letter from the corporate board was sent to all employees when they showed up to work on Friday, October 2nd, also reminding them that their insurance was canceled and they wouldn't be getting paid, either. It's claimed the company is restructuring – restructuring is corporate code for "we need to figure out a way for a bunch of suits to still get paid far more than they deserve and you people that work to provide these lazy, self-important, vainglorious pigs are going to get shafted." Perhaps the company should have been getting payday loans instead of handing out bonuses.
