Well,with a new wind,politically,blowing through Australia,let's hope that Kevin Rudd,the new Prime Minister will live up to his promise and begin the gradual withdrawal of 'aussie'troops IMMEDIATELY from Iraq.Let's hope he will look further into that terrible murder of innocent civilians,(Maria and her car passengers)in Iraq by Australia's 'Blackwater' equivalent U.R.G.(Universal Resources Group?)
That was disgraceful,and those mercenaries/thugs should be tried for negligent homicide AT LEAST!And bring them to trial,NOT just settle quietly OUT OF COURT! HOW CAN AUSTRALIA(and America with Blackwater etc)allow killers like that IMMUNITY contracts? Are they crazy?
To Iraqi eyes they represent Australia only,just like Blackwater is "American".Do the right thing Mr Rudd!
Foreign 'obstacles' in Iraq are merely hindering the Iraqi people from dealing with Iraq in an IRAQI way. A way,that gives ALL well-meaning Iraqi people a chance to come together,UNDIVIDED,by past differences,that fester in the present day 'heat',and form a proud,tolerant,united nation.
Prime Minister Rudd also talks of signing the Kyoto Protocol? That's great! But,it would probably be better to scrap that old dinosaur protocol IMMEDIATELY and form a NEW one,called the 'Planet Earth Protocol'(P.E.P.).
In the light of all the undeniable scientific evidence, and 'no-brainer' common-sense, that MANKIND IS the main contributor to the speeding up of the planets ecologically/geological demise,WE ARE ALL EQUALLY ACCOUNTABLE!
It should be mandatory,that ALL nations sign the 'Planet Earth Protocol',after all,we may all have our own 'dish' preferences,but,WE ALL EAT AT THE SAME RESTAURANT! Unless,of course,someone has found an alternative universal 'restaurant'(planet) which has a viable,palatable menu!
This wonderful ,glistening,'blue marble' called 'EARTH',is still our one and ONLY diner! Perfect for our every taste!
In any Global Protocol,safety standards MUST be high, NO EXCUSES!
Penalties,to nations/companies etc, who undermine or ignore the protocols,should be very strict! Because,their industrial crimes have a ripple effect.Killing their own,with genetic mutation,organ failure etc but spreading similar disease also, to others.Australia,China,USA and India are big culprits in this dirty game!
Now,Australia is very positive and progressive in looking to change it's 'polluted' ways,and restore the luxury of FRESH AIR! Kudos to them!Good on ya cobba!
We must insist that China and India jump on board too and admit that QUALITY lasts longer than QUANTITY,especially when their commercial reputation,pride and credibility is at stake.Whether it's electronics or pharmaceuticals etc,it's just a question of 'You don't comply,then we DON'T BUY!'
AND OF COURSE! The USA must stand up as a pillar of the Global Clean Community!
Don't talk about it,DO IT! Lead the way! The USA cannot hold claim to 'being green' AS LONG as it out-sources to foreign sweat-shops,and slave-labor forces,in countries who treat their workers like dogs! We all know it goes on,and many have seen it first-hand!The evidence outweighs the verbose denials!
The USA has to get it's progressive focus right,and prove it by it's deeds,otherwise it has NO EXCUSE to call itself "a leader",in anything.Nationally,the quality of the education system is in dire peril.Poverty is the norm,rather than the exception.We can no longer live in a 'Disney' time.
In reality,compare peoples "healthy" consumption against their declining state of personal health,AND their RISING level of personal DEBT!

If Australia can 'clean up' it's act environmentally,and the USA,CHINA,INDIA et al can do the same,we may have a 'Planet Earth Protocol' to be proud of!And a fine legacy to our childrens children!
