For anyone who really belives in Democracy and the Rule of Constitutional Law you should READ,READ,READ this article.It shows how the US government THREATENED THE UK government,that if the UK released documents on the BRUTAL and unforgiveable TORTURE of Binyam Mohammed(and other UK citizens)whilst in US/UK hands or in the hands of their proxies(Pakistan,Morooco,Afghanistan),THEY WOULD CUT OFF ALL UK(GCHQ)ACCESS TO US INTELLIGENCE.
That's not the action of TRUE ALLY,that's bribery,corruption and ENDANGERING the citizens of the UK who are also under threat from terrorists.
All under the usual UMBRELLA excuse of a "threat to US National security".
The only threat to US National Security is the US government and their 'allies'.
Binyam was beating unconscious several times,kept naked,sodomised,hungry,had his penis sliced by scalpels,was hung by his wrists from the ceiling,with his feet barely touching the floor,whilst being brutally beaten and burned with liquids and cigarette stubs.They sliced his chest with the same scalpels and blasted him with loud music and strobe lights.They dropped his Quran in diesel oil and covered it with urine(these were US/Moroccans and a 'sweet' supposedly Canadian girl named "Sarah").They loaded a pistol and held it,cocked,to his chest.Made him listen to other prisoners being tortured.

Binyam wasn't even force-fed food,which is against the Tokyo Declaration anyway,when he went on hunger-strike in Morocco.
He was however,force-fed HEROIN IV,over a period of 10-14 days,and would have terrible symptoms.They then allowed him to go cold-turkey,whilst naked,quite a few times as part of the torture.
All this is all just in the first 18 months while in the hands of our Moroccan "friends".
Then he was flown to Kabul,by US military/CIA for more torture and interrogation.
And finally to Gitmo.
As an American,a WW2 Vet,and a good-conscience human being,I am SO ASHAMED of my US government(Bush administration)for becoming the same as THOSE WE ABHOR.
Nothing! Repeat nothing....JUSTIFIES TORTURE and CRUEL,INHUMAN,UNUSUAL,DEGRADING PUNISHMENT,whether we do it ourselves OR GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT AT OUR BEHEST.
The blood is STILL on our hands and conscience.
