As much as Israel tries to BURY the Goldstone Report under Abbas' declaration of intent to resign from Fatah,or Iran's non-existent nooks,blah,balh,blah,it will NOT SUCCEED. Because MILLIONS of people will not forget sixty years++of Israel war crimes.Gaza was just the most recent,and equally horrendous,addition to Israel's long legacy of war crimes and human rights abuses.
Israel may succeed again in a delay tactic of 'divide and rule' of the Palestinian people,temporarily,by Abbas not running.But Israel and Bibi should not gloat too much.
Abbas was,after all,only an illegitimate Israeli/US puppet,like Mr 'President of Kabul only'Karzai.
Abbas is the "president" only of one party,ansd not the democratically elected party of the majority of Palestinian people in the last election.
And,who can blame him for being sick inside,humiliated,demoralised and ashamed.
His moral,ethical and spiritual conscience must be keeping him awake many a night? I'm sure the US administration have some PERKY new diplomatic post for him yet,like 'Palestinian Envoy to the USA'(Tony 'sheik of al-Quds' Blair-style)? LOL.
Hilarity Tinclone(with new hairstyle and make-up even)dropped a lot of hints as to our ongoing 'relationship' with Abbas still being strong(wink,wink).
Maybe Obama is going to offer Abbas a job in D.C.?

So,Israel may try to bury the Goldstone Report under all sorts of distracting 'debris',but just like the Gazans,the good-conscience world will keep RAISING ITS HEAD FROM THE RUBBLE to struggle on and hold hypocritical and brutal Israel accountable for its crimes against innocent,relatively unarmed,civilians.
