GAZAN PHOTOJOURNALIST WINS NORWEGIAN 'PEN' PRIZE.
Grassroots
November 15, 2009
2:24 PM PST
Mr.Mohammed Omer, the young journalist who, like many other Palestinians, has been brutalised, directly or indirectly, his whole life by Israeli's,and forced to live by atrition and under occupation just for not being Jewish in Palestine, has prevailed again, with his "voice of the voiceless",and his dedication to telling the truth about the warsaw ghetto-type concentration camp of Gaza created by the Israeli land, sea air blockade, and brutal military attacks.
Last year,he was brutalised at Allenby crossing,by Israeli security guards, after returning from London where he had received the Martha Gellhorn Prize(jointly won with fellow journalist Dahr Jamail).
But,like millions of other Palestinians, the oppressive punishment and humiliation they suffer at the hands of the Israeli military occupiers HAS ONLY MADE THEM STRONGER and more determined to survive the collective punishment, just for NOT being Jewish, and for owning land, resources, water etc that the Israelis aim to steal.
Well done Mr.Omer,on your successful speaking tour recently of US Harvard,Rutgers,Columbia Universities AND on your latest Norwegian Prize.
The truth will ALWAYS prevail, and the speakers of the truth will never be silenced.
