I recommend watching MIR: 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRQmbuMIVjU&feature=user which is a recap of the most important stories that dominated the media in the Middle East and garnered the most attention in 2007. Saddam Hussein was executed on Dec. 30 ,2006, but this event dominated the coverage throughout January 2007 and beyond.

On the Link TV Home page, there is a promotional blurb for the Mosaic Intelligence Report that begins, "From Saddam Hussein's execution to Iran's nuclear program, 2007 has been a horrific year for the Middle East." I find it difficult to believe, but it appears that whoever wrote this is buying into, and selling, the "Iranian threat" hysteria found in the conventional commercial-corporate media. Question: What happened in 2007 concerning Iran's nuclear program that was so "horrific"? Answer: NOTHING AT ALL!!! If anything the year closed with the National Intelligence Estimate revelation that Iran had halted any nuclear weapons-related research back in 2003. Why is Link TV, of all news sites, and MIR, of all programs, contributing to the neocon-driven shrieks about Iran, moaning that something dreadful having transpired in 2007 having to do Iranian nuclear program? And by the way, Saddam Hussein was executed on Dec. 30, 2006, and not during 2007!
