Oh and one more thing! Inbetween having his idealogical "vision" of a "future"(convenient non-commital word there)Palestinian State, let's hope that while he was driving around in his fortified convoy(instead of helicopter),he got a 'REALITY' VISION of exactly how the Palestinian people are being herded around like animals by 'God's chosen people'.
It might be too much to ask that he may have had a TWINGE of discomfort, seeing finally how bad things REALLY are,it depends whether he left his 'tunnel-vision' spectacles at home in the U.S.
Israel needs to honour U.N.security council RESOLUTIONS 242,338,and Camp David Accords etc!!!
THEN, a 60th Anniversary celebration in Israel MAY be ethical! And we can all SINCERELY celebrate!!!
Peace,Salaam,Shalom!

I don't know why the word "occupation" is considered in America to be 'taboo'.
"Taboo" refers to something which is either, prohibited, banned or avoided from shame, embarrassment or fear! Israel's occupation of Palestinian land, for years, has negated all thatin it's blatancy and arrogance and has been ALLOWED an ignored by major countries within the U.N. which should be fairer to all within the international rules of ethics, moralsand human rights.
But reality tells us that these actions of 'occupation'are, very sadly and wrongly, part of many peoples DAILY lives now.The NORM!
I noticed that in one breath ole' Dubya mumbled the word "occupation",but counteracted it's meaning by addressing a homeland for the "Jewish" people! VERY DEMOCRATIC RIGHT? Which means that ANYONE who is NOT Jewish, will still be homeless. How ironical! 'Here we go round the mulberry bush' for another 60 years!
Which,in itself quietly means the illegal, but conveniently IGNORED,ethnic cleansing will continue.I am old enough and wise enough to read between the lines, the'small print'as they say.
Until Israel stop doing to the Palestinians what was done to them in WW2 et al,which should now ALL be in the PAST(even if not fogotten),I for one,as a believer in God, will be postponing my acknowledging celebration,in May, of Israel's 60th anniversary.UNTIL,they can prove that they are worthy of it,by NOT repeating what was done to them and creating shoa for others!
Oh,and the Palestinians are not 'off the hook' either! They deserve a lot,but they are going to have to prove themselves too.
And 'Arbusto'? Heck, he can only see his 'rapture' LOL!

US President George W Bush has used some of his strongest language so far to describe his vision for a Palestinian state living in peace side by side with Israel. At a news conference Mr. Bush uttered the taboo “O” word, the occupation. He said there should be "an end to the occupation that began in 1967".

"The agreement must establish Palestine as a homeland for the Palestinian people, just as Israel is a homeland for the Jewish people," he added.

Tough words from President Bush; however, Palestinians worry about what he did not say.

He desires peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis…but is Iran on his hidden agenda?
