WOW! Thanks LintkTV,'POWAQQATSI'WAS AWESOME.Beautiful photography,and incredible 'Glass' soundtrack.It was a sensorial concerto!
Personally,it reminded me,too,of how lucky I have been to travel so much, around the world.
I love the way that they leave it to the viewer to interpret the images.
Some themes kept coming back to me throughout the two hours.Such as:
The quote,"..Spiritual beings having a human existence.."(can't remember who said that originally)
-Worker ants in an anthill.
-Bees in a honey-comb.
-Too many peope, too little space, not enough time.
-That,not only is a donkey a 'beast of burden',but so are millions of humans.
-That'having everything'is relative.Technologically,one might have everything,but spiritually(not religiously),have nothing and visa versa.
Many of the images filmed,so beautifully, were timeless aswell, showing that some things have not changed in thousands of years, and how life and energy is recycled!
I noticed that the only spoken words, heard, were in song. And the muezzin's call to prayer, was also one of the most beautiful I've heard, with the sound of the 'hollow' wind in the background.
Thankyou LinkTV,Powaqqatsi,is a must-see.Please air the other two in the trilogy, when you can!
Bravo!
