a/g Mukasey may be as slippery as an eel when it comes to admitting that near-death drowning(waterboarding)IS torture,but when pinned down by members of the Sen.Judicial Committee AT LEAST he stated that "maiming" and "rape" ARE illegal!
Well,well,that should give the Judicial Committee something concrete on which to continue their investigations.
Just start with Abu Ghraib,Bagram,American rendition'black-sites'in Africa,Morocco,Syria etc and all the way through to 'Costa Del Protect the Iquanas before the prisoners'Guantanamo.
There are PLENTY of books,written reports,photographs and witness testimony to support that maiming and rape(not to mention many other aborrent practises)HAVE ALREADY occurred!
So Muck-eeface,what are you going to do WITH THAT? Why doesn't the Judicial Committee grow the gonads to put near-death drowning to the side and present Muckasey with all the maiming and rape,that HE WILL admit is illegal,inhuman and against the Geneva Conventions?
Whilst watching the whole farce on TV,I almost felt like the Committee were feeling 'tortured'by the a/g's codswallop,evasive answers.It was PAINFUL,to watch HIM(the corporate puppet)torturing the Nations supposed RULE OF LAW REPRESENTATIVES! Pitiful!
So, pin Muckasey down on the "maimimg" and "rape" issues.You have ENOUGH evidence of that.
