Ralph Nader is a VERY clever,sincere and experienced person and a great Politician.I have read most of his books and WOULD LOVE to see him get the office, recognition,votes and populus support he so deserves. He has also worked TIRELESSLY for the benefit of the working people and the economy and quality of America.Many of his qualities also reflect the nature and tradition of the American people. I like and respect him greatly,especially his stance on the narrowness of American politics to the deficit of the voters fair representation. Real Democracy means REAL proportional representation.
And the American Corporate(State)media has such a tight hold and control on any campaign/election process that it borders on Chinese 'State Censorship',and the 'money factor' STIFLES the process of REAL Democracy,by for and OF the people.
There is definately bags of room and increasing need for a third party(at least) to cover the needs of such a varied population and widening 2 class system.
One of the biggest difficulties for candidates here in the States is getting past the 'ballot/registration' rules and regulations,which I believe are MUCH TOO FISCALLY based at extortionately wasteful levels that really insult and neglect the voters/taxpayers needs!
It just blows my mind that a nation the size of America 'rounds up' it's citizens into TWO CONVENIENT CAMPS ONLY,red OR blue as if there are only two types of political thought THROUGHOUT the whole country.Which,of course,is bull.
I also think it is shameful that people accuse fine honourable people like Ralph Nader of 'stealing' votes from other parties,or 'scuppering'the votes for ReploCrat candidates! This is the narrow mindset that falsely and rudely ASSUMES that only TWO parties have the legal right to stand for election and all people should form TWO NARROW LINES ONLY! Again,RED OR BLUE! And therefore,hard cheese to any citizens who happen(quite rightly)to lean to the white,green,lilac,pink or SPOTTED dimensions! They instantly get treated as nuisance garbage or a JOKE!
Whereas in reality,many of these patriotic 'many hued' voters are some of the most academic,caring,progressive,scientific thinking people that AMERICA possesses.
And it always astounds me that people accept,rather than protest,being herded like dumb cattle into the 'red' line or the 'blue' line only!
Heck,there are more colours in the American Flag,than parties to stand for American voters rights.
Unfortunately,the very system of campaign/election here,is a 'ball and chain' around the ankles of any representative who doesn't qualify for the ridiculous rules of registration.The Supreme Court should shred those regulations and start again. It's like an obstacle course for fine people like Nader,showing no respect for the validity of his supporters votes or opinions.
But it comes down to the people to INSIST that those ridiculous balls and chains be tossed on the garbage heap and NOT THE VOTERS!
Ralph Nader is a very down-to-earth,frugal,sensible,broad thinking and fair person. Europe would love him because they are way ahead in the fair election process. Here in America I think he and other neglected parties should form a coalition party.'The Democratic,Lean & Green Party'(DLG)sounds good to me!
One of Mr Naders favourite sayings is,"To know and not to do is not to know"(Chinese Proverb).
Alack & Alas,If only more American voters WOULD "do" more,rather than just be 'herded'!

Hey Grassroots, I read your stuff all the time, I think its really refreshing to hear what you have to say. I was wondering how u felt about Ralph Nader, Im starting to think he may do the best job and be the most honest person out of all the candidates.

I am still hoping that John Edwards will step to the front and give himself(metaphorically speaking)to Barack Obama! I reckon the two of them,especially with the recent backing of Chris Dodds,would make a very strong,rational and trustworthy team for the ordinary American people,and boost Americas morale.
I have great admiration and respect for John Edwards and his beliefs and would LOVE TO see him working close with Obama.In fact John Edwards would be a great Vice-President! He is also very APPROACHABLE to grass-roots Americans,has also worked TIRELESSLY to get them a fair deal,and is also has a good international personage.
Come on John! What du yu say buddy?

Well,they say that first 'Hilarity' Clinton was jealous of Barack Obama's 'lock' on the "CHANGE" theme,
NOW she seems to have recognised,publically,on the media,that there IS ACTUALLY "POVERTY" in America,by having a tete a'tete with JOHN EDWARDS,at the Edwards residence,probably asking if she can 'borrow' his theme of POVERTY and saying,
'Pleeez,Pleez,Pleeez,endorse me Johnnie boy. King Bill will be SOOOOO happy!'
Man if she REALLY cared about poor Americans she would have had that long time BIG AMERICAN PROBLEM up front and center,from the beginning.
And if she has SO MUCH "EXPERIENCE",domestic POVERTY would have taken just as much of her 'oration' time as pulling out of Iraq!
She may be older than Obama and perhaps have more experience in SOME AREAS but that experience could be a handicap and may not benefit the ordinary American people.Seeing as she is a Corporate 'Queen',it may again,be just the privileged few who 'benefit'.

I reckon if Barack Obama gets to be President he will begin to put America back on a good positive GLOBAL path,diplomatically and politically.
He comes without special interest 'baggage',massive debts(in back favours) and appeals to ALL the American people,as individuals.He is a spiritual man and respects the Rule Of law and the three branches of Government,SEPARATELY!
Personally,I would like to see John Edwards as Obamas Vice-President,because he's no fool,bears a good image for our Nation(just as Obama does)AND has the calm RATIONALITY,and integrity when dealing with the military(Pentagon)C.O.S's etc.
He is ALSO a GREAT domestic politician,who was the only one who had the balls(proverbially speaking of course)to admit TO,AND RECOGNISE PUBLICALLY ON THE MEDIA the 30+ MILLION(that we KNOW of)American citizens who ALREADY live WAY below the official poverty line!
I can't see people like Obama or Edwards 'coo-cooing'(on the media) to Katrina or Tornado victims,then leaving them in refugee camps!
Edwards was the only one who was strong enough to shout the "poverty" word!
Which tells me he is very tuned in to America from the grass-roots UP,just like Obama.
And,Edwards is a great protector of citizens rights and workers union rights too.
He would make sure that the working,and middle class,get their fair wage and benefits.
Obama should also ask Ralph Nader to join him at his table of "CHANGE".
Nader is also a very clever,well-respected and diplomatic man GLOBALLY. He cares DEEPLY,and rationally,about the people,about the future of Americas reputation,and has a great knowledge of COMMERCE FRUGALITY and the danger of human-induced global warming and,last but not least,has a sanity and common-sense which would be VERY refreshing to have up front.
Obama could have Joe Biden and Jimmy Carter,working together to repair Foreign Relations.Both of these guys have OODLES of global and domestic experience,and great personalities.
I guess you can tell that I am desperate to see America in good hands again,after such a monarchy of elitists and LYING,war-mongering and perjurious ar******s!
After the elections in 2000 and 2004 were taken away FROM the people,and ENDLESS years of the 'madness of Kings Bill and G.Dubya' WE NEED SOME SANITY AND INTEGRITY BACK!
And if the next President is chosen by SUPER-DELEGATES, I'm EMIGRATNG to somewhere MORE truely Democratic,of,by and for the people!
