Obama's speech today on American racial issues so EXCELLANT!
That man is fresh,elegant,diplomatic,POLITE and,to me,HE IS THE FACE OF A HEALTHY FUTURE IN AMERICA!
In fact Barack,I can quite proudly say that YOU are my quintessential,multi-cultural American!!!
President Obama,you are OUR lighthouse of hope,in a present insanely stormy sea of Politics and I put my faith in your judgement!
Just bring us back to dry land,Barack.
I'm white and old enough to be your mother,YES!
I'm the previous generation,and Sir,you have my vote.Because I see the future in my youngsters eyes,and lord,do YOU make their eyes SPARKLE! LOL!
My children are THIS generation,and you have ALREADY won their hearts and minds.
My GRANDCHILDREN are the NEXT generation,and to them, you are "SO COOL"!
Heck,even the cat PURRS louder at the sound of your dulcet tones!
Mr Obama your speech was admirable and full of common-sense,and rationality,
which is MORE than I can say for that pastor!
It might be a good idea if the pastor took some sabbatical time off and attended an anger-management retreat?

Hilary,I don't care about your 35 years "experience",or your allegiance to corporate politics,or your husbands bad judgement in allying himself to foreign dictators,as well as office staff,in black dresses,UNDER THE 'Oval' table,then committing perjury IN FRONT OF THE Congress and citizens!
But,if your 35 years "experience" is/was so MARVELLOUS in grass roots results,why are American citizens generally so uneffected by it?
Why is poverty,failing property ownership,bad medical care,poor education quality and crime STILL so rife,in the 'WEALTHIEST'(fiscally)country,supposedly, on the planet?
Why are our prisons and refugee camps FILLED TO BURSTING? Etc,etc,etc.
I'm sorry Hilary,but I am old enough and proud to say that I am rational in my Obama-itis.
I look at you and I see 35 yrs of same-ole-same ole.I see the extinction of the dinosaurs.I see another 'pause' button in Americas progress.
Now,that wouldn't be so bad if that status quo had been OBSERVABLY beneficial and progessive for ALL ordinary American people.But IT HASN'T BEEN! The 'elite' 20% of the WHOLE population,STILL get 80% of the National wealth!!!
Americans are DESPERATE for progress and change at the grass roots level,like the starving are desperate for sustenance.
And your judgement,and courage(or LACK of)has been seen,already,in your Senatorial votes cast! I watch the House and Senate frequently!
And I am offended,when I hear you BELITTLE an 'OASIS'(like Barack Obama),in a vast political desert(of which you have been part for 35 years)of fear and loss of citizen freedoms!
You may have 35 yrs of DOING STUFF previously, but that hasn't always been seen as GOOD EXPERIENCE.
And Barack Obama is,logically,very correct when he politely comments on your audacity,as second-place runner(so far),in offering to BESTOW on the FIRST-PLACE RUNNER(so far)the V/P seat in YOUR White House! LOL!
You talk down to him,like a little boy,as if he hasn't 'earned' the right to be President.
What have YOU done,INTERNATIONALLY,(not locally)in 35 years,that gives you THE RIGHT to the same position? Local is a whole different ball-game to NATONAL or International! And,nothing springs immediately to my aged,war-torn mind,madam!

And,let me remind you Hilarity,that that 'lil ole' White House belongs to the people,the voters,the Nation.We rent it to OUR chosen Commander in Chief!
I look at Obama and I see a life stirring again in a desert.He is a pillar of hope for America.
You are VERY local,domestic,and to be quite honest the rest of the world is not THAT enamoured by you!Which I would tink would be important for a future Commander in Chief?
Obama,on the other hand,is ALREADY very Global! Europe is SO pro-Obama,as is Africa and the Middle East and Australasia.
They love him already,and that can only be good for Americas badly scarred public/foreign relations image.
He's already ACCEPTED overseas! People ACTUALLY like him as he IS!
Which I think is good if America STILL wants to grow!
He believes in respectful unconditional dialogue BEFORE thuggery and bombs.Giving OTHERS chance to air their views,as IS their right on their OWN LAND,in order to achieve mutual and respectful agreement.
Even if it's an agreement TO DIFFER!
You,Hilary,believe in CONDITIONAL DIALOGUE FIRST! Shaking the fist,instead of OFFERING the hand of friendship! That,is only good for DICTATORS! (Perhaps that's why McCain reminds me of Hitler and Mussolini?)
I have been lucky enough to travel WIDELY this beautiful and precious globe,and believe you me,America is NOT,politically,WELL thought of over the last 2-3 decades! In our state,right now,that is ONE THING that MUST CHANGE!
Obama,to me,is the face of America AS IT IS NOW and as it SHOULD BE,AND CAN BE,TOMORROW! People are LINING up to work WITH HIM,on healing Americas wounds.
Hilary,your eyes ae cold,and your face reminds me of time gone by and the REASON why we need change.You are stagnant old-school!

I would follow Barack Obama to ANY COUNTRY,enemy or friend,for dialogue to establish mutuality of agreement,based on human-rights,mutual profit,and peaceful agreement.

If Hilary(or 'CACTUS' McCain)is the desert,and Obama is the oasis,it's a no-brainer in which direction we SHOULD head,to keep our hearts,sanity,minds and souls TOGETHER!

Greetings Fellow Americans,Sunday is always a good day to air the spirit and soul!LOL!
After watching 'Stealing Democracy'(excellant presentation, Link TV!) and reading in this mornings paper a small quote from a young Clinton supporter,"Everyone likes Obama but they don't know why"(Seneca Weirich,Toledo Ohio)I have to say,
I know EXACTLY WHY I like Barack Obama! And in the old fashioned way,now simply cast out as rhetoric or metaphor,I beg to tell you,in MY old-fashioned but young spirited way.
Have you ever walked in a hot,dry unforgiving desert area? A MASSIVE area of beautiful majesty but equal in it's brutality.
You're weary,thirsty and blinded by brittle sand carried on desert winds.But,you maintain hope and optimism that if you follow the stars,flora and fauna you will AT LAST get back to human civilization. And just when you think all is lost,that you must succumb to the cruelty and punishment of the elements in control, a waft of FRESH CRISP AIR with life-giving moisture comes over the dune,making you pause and take a deep satisfying breath! It makes you dare to SMILE!
And as your sand-blasted eyes skim the top of the dune, you can taste on your tongue that the wind has changed direction. Finally,you SEE the ocean and feel the new moist breeze FROM the seas direction,soaking into your dehydrated skin. Life comes again!
You didn't give up hope,you stayed positive,strong,realistic and focussed on a healthy future,INTEAD OF GIVING UP AND SUCCUMBING!
For many decades,I personally feel that American politics has been this very same dry brutal desert.Where the majority of American people have been surrounded by cruel elements and have been pushed into a dry corner lacking hope.
I am proud to say,that Barack Obama feels just like that FRESH CRISP AIR,coming from the ocean,with the possibility of change and REGROWTH.
Heck,I'm old enough to be entitled to be cynical and TOO realistic,but that young(relatively) politician,Mr Obama,instinctively stirs something in my mind and spirit that makes my soul seek out that ocean of hope,because I love my country and treasure the world and what it could,AND SHOULD, be.
I do not apologise for what many cynics might throw out as empty sentimentality,because NO OTHER POLITICIAN standing right now has made me feel more AMERICAN,HOPEFUL and PROUD.
After being coverted by the brutal sandstorms and blinding desert winds of the Bush/Clinton/Bush dynasty it FEELS WONDERFUL to see a man like Barack Obama on the horizon,with much promise and enterprise,coming in 'from the sea' just like a beaming lighthouse!
And before Hilary Tin-Clone denounces(through jealousy) images of 'choirs of angels' and 'celestial'....blah,blah,blah,she should remember that our country was BUILT on hope,spirit,optimism and AUDACITY! Everything that drives the SOUL forward in the empty desert!
So,it's not that we don't KNOW why we like him,Seneca.It's just that many have forgotten how,OR are too nervous or embarrassed,to put it into plain old classical words and metaphor.
Obama has my PAPER WTH RECEIPT precious vote,because he's moist Fresh air in a DRY POLITICAL desert!
And I'm not dead yet,still love my country and HAVEN'T given up hope!
