Thanks for this great feedback!
Lipwak, we have built in functionality that ensures the site should remember your time zone. Make sure that you have enabled "cookies" on your web browser. This is usually found in the Internet Options, Preferences, or Privacy Setting on your browser. Hopefully that will fix things for you.

Also, it would be nice if the site remembered I was in the Eastern time zone, rather than my having to tell it each time I visit the main site.

Thanks.

(At least it's better than the old site which would forget my time zone each time I left the schedule page...)

Could the links to the programs on the main page lead to the actual program descriptions rather than generic ones? For example, if World Music Videos are on the schedule, the only way to see what the actual videos are is to go to the Programming link at the head of the page and then to click on the schedule, then to click on the link for each show. It'd be real nice to get that info from the listing on the main page (if that show is listed on the main page/if it is coming up soon.)

Thanks!

Overall not bad. I think the community could be stronger. How about bookmarking, rating, tagging, commenting on the programs? How about finding others and seeing what they are watching, etc.

A few notes on my user experience of the new website:

1. I use Safari on a Mac and have a high speed DSL connection. All the video I have tried to watch in the past 2 weeks keeps stalling and starting constantly making it difficult to watch even short programs.
2. I wish the show openings with the message about Link and the program being for non-commercial use only feels too long - as does the web show opening for Mosaic. I would love to be able to get to the programs themselves quicker. I think that is what people are looking for in a web viewing experience.
3. On the video viewing screens it seems the "MORE" button might be better worded as "Viewing Options" or something a little more explanatory.
