This is the same corupt kind of logic that lets commonsense trade commodies, health care, oil, food futures on the market Corporations themselves are not evil, the greed whore capitalist are evil , Note the "liberal" gambit and the convoluted logic No doubt commonsense sees nothing wrong with private prisons or mercenary armys. He has no soul , only a greed

This film is horrifying in its truth. It should be required in schools, it might enlighten those who are completely ignorant to reality.

This doc encompasses a lot of different, interweaving issues. But one that really struck me as relevant (especially today when drought is everywhere) was the fact that Bechtel, when they were in collusion with the Ecuadorian government, had been able to make it ILLEGAL for the Ecuadorian people to collect rainwater!

Of course, this may pale in comparison to Esso, IBM, Coke, Ford, AND GM profiting from the Nazi regime (which was dealt with in the film.) But mass murder or genocide seems to draw yawns these days whenever it is mentioned, as if one was "exaggerating" or listening to "liberal lies," or -- for that matter -- simply in the "ozone" and thus, "ungrounded."

Nonetheless, for someone who loves collecting rainwater, making such a practice illegal struck me as particularly relevant. I just hope that if the USA (or Alabama, where I "live") ever tries to "shut me down," that I will receive more than an indifferent brush off.

On the other hand, maybe it would be good if I received a brush-off (or was shot, for that matter), for then I would finally know for sure (and not just as a vague moribund uneasiness) that my life (and those of everyone else, by extension) was illusory, and had no meaning, and could finally give it up for good, knowing it was worthless in an absolute sense, and transcend into pure fullness or something.
