Petraeus to get 'all the time he needs,' Bush says

LOL! That's the problem.
America is such an INSULAR Nation(despite it's BOOTPRINTS on mnay foreign soils) and generally puts the ME,ME,ME before the WE,WE,WE,!
"Will we"? That depends on our level of good conscience and morality.
It's easy to turn a blind eye and pretend 'I'm alright Jack',but it takes guts to turn 'KNOWING WE SHOULD', into deciding we WILL!
How many lives does it take to fill a gas-guzzling tank? And which is MORE IMPORTANT?
In the real world there is NO SUCH THING as ME,ME,ME,!
Everything has an effect on EVERYTHING else AND EVERYONE of us!
It wouldn't need a total boycott either, just a reduction to frugal levels.
From Gluttony to healthy frugality. Holistically always a better DEAL!
And a MUCH LIGHTER National BAD conscience and INTERNATIONAL CONSEQUENCE!
I DO,ration my gas tank to the minimum(I drive a hybrid anyway),use my ole' push-bike and walk as much as I can.And I would ration MORE,IF IT MEANT that our boys and girls could come home, safe, unabused, sane and UNBROKEN,NOW!
We have to REPLACE THE 'I WANT' with the 'How much do I really need'?
But I know Ron,America does give up it's GLUTTONIES easily! LOL!
Except that now, with America putting itself on a VERY WOBBLY BRIDGE,I can't think of a BETTER TIME!

It will take a massive boycott to have any effect. We can get by without their products. But will we?

Absolutely Ron,and that's why my stomach churns when I think of all the personal profits these corporate CEO's have raked in while 38 million+ Americans now survive on food-stamps,increasing unemployment,a dollar that isn't worth a cent, increasing gas prices(guess where THOSE PROFITS are going LOL),and a very SHAKY domestic, and internationally diplomatic future.
So while the 'Bush Bunch' fleece us AT HOME,they have the audacity to fleece the Iraqis TOO!
I would call that:
-abuse of public office,
-corporate embezzlement IN THE BILLIONS,
-MASSIVE PERJURY and NEGLECT AND OFFENSE of the American people, when they SWORE an oath to PROTECT AND DEFEND.

So, 7,500+ LOST American lives later(including 9/11),why does it continue?
And why do we permit them to KEEP BEATING the drums of war against Iran?
When ALL OF THIS has NOTHING TO DO with 9/11?
Why are WE,the common people here, allowing them to:
-break these RULES OF LAW,
-insult and rape OUR Constitution,
-and deface our Bill of Rights???
Are we SO INERT,so inane,so INDIFFERENT that we don't BLOCK THEIR dirty blood-soaked path, which is leading further and further away from TRUE Democracy.
How can you teach French when you don't SPEAK French?
Well, you can PRETEND it's French if the listener doesn't KNOW ANY BETTER(temporary advantage only).
But the 'listeners' here DO KNOW BETTER!
How can we preach DEMOCRACY to others, when our Government heads don't PRACTICE Democracy to their own people?
How can the American people ALLOW Congressional and EXECUTIVE public SERVANTS to get away, literally, with murder and fraud, when we KNOW THEY are speaking GOBBLE-DEE-GOOK!
That's OUR DEBT! We are complicit by OUR lack of public outrage,NATIONALLY and Internationally!
Our national AND INTERNATIONALLY INTEGRITY,morality and ethical standing has ALMOST reached an event horizon. But NOT QUITE in the 'black-hole' YET!
We STILL have a chance to make things good, redeem ourselves, and lay the new foundation for an honourable DEMOCRATIC American image, where people outside will STILL WANT TO COME HERE,and those who came here will STILL WANT to stay,in the future!
But not if WE ALLOW,by indifference, the White House to be CONTINUOUSLY and illegally 'OCCUPIED' by corporate 'terrorists'!
And we listen to Bush arrogantly 'preach' that, "we are going to shine the light of justice on them"(Iraq)!
Jeez! Fair and common "Justice" is NOT A WORD IN Bush' VOCABULARY!!!

81%---REPEAT 81%, of ALL AMERICAN PEOPLE have no trust or faith in the Bush MAFIA,cannot wait to see them OUT OF office, and WANT OUT of an ILLEGAL military/mercenary occupation of Iraq which is ripping our LOW-PAID National MILITARY ARMED FORCES APART,while PRIVATE MERCENARIES GET AWAY with their breaches of "engagement",face NO ACCOUNTABILITY,and RAKE IN FOUR TIMES AS MUCH SALARY TOO!

SICKENING!

Compare those national opinion percentages to our National wealth-----85% of our national wealth lays in TAX-FREE off-shore BANKS OF ONLY 15%-----of the US population!
Talk about IMPERIAL OLIGARCHY!! America is RIGHT NOW a cross between cold war USSR and a colonialist MONARCHY! Talk about pathetic IRONY!

The biggest debt to the American people is a MORAL AND ETHICAL DEBT and the usurping of the OATH OF OFFICE by the White House MAFIA!
Time for tea, then MORE letters of OBJECTION to our ESTEEMED public SERVANTS!

Peace,Salaam,Shalom!

I would like to point out that there is no national debt to the american people.
The bush bunch has made the debts, and the profits. The debt is theirs.

Bush is either completely DERANGED or just doesn't give a sh** how things REALLY ARE with Americans OR IRAQIS!
And,it's because I love my country, its people and its international reputation that I think this is ONE VERY DANGEROUS(either by stupidity or orchestration) man,who should be impeached along with his war-mongering inner circle!
I also think it's an INSULT TO THE IRAQI people,to COMPLETELY ignore their wishes and their sovereignty.
But at the same time I don't see(not surprisingly considering Maliki) the Iraqi people, whatever sect, allegiance etc MARCHING(as is their RIGHT),in the thousands, with polite determination in front of the cameras,AS MERELY IRAQI NATIONALS,ORDERING US TO LEAVE! Ordinary Americans WANT them to ask us POLITELY to leave and com back as INVITED GUESTS!
We have NO RIGHT occupying their country,THEY WERE,and hopefully will BE,our FRIENDS and we should begin a precipitous and steady military AND PRIVATE CONTRACTOR withdrawal IMMEDIATELY,STAT,PRONTO.
The only reason we should be there is if the Iraqi people invite us,willingly, to stay or return.
And,after the HUGE MESS that our 'esteemed' Bush admin has created over the last 5 years,it is our duty to help clear up the ruined schools, hospitals, power supplies, water, food and gas.
Who the hell are WE to tell the Iraqi people how to live their lives, and who to choose as their leaders???
Bush has no right to even use the word "NOBLE"!!!
If our troops had removed Saddam,AND LEFT, that would have been a far more NOBLER move. And we MIGHT have left with some semblance of reputation intact.
But not with Bush, because that WASN'T his goal in the first place.
All along, this has been a 'long-term presence' mission, and to continue to push the propoganda that 'poor ole'Iraq would 'collapse' completely without our presence is horse s***! Ther is NOTHING LEFT TO COLLAPSE!
I am so disgusted to see Corporate CEO's and lobbyists running our White House and ALSO running our MILITARY JOINT CHIEFS round like sheep in a pen!
This corporate war, makes ALL SIDES IMMUNE FROM ACCOUNTABILITY AND PUNISHMENT for what would normally be seen as massive violations of the International Rules of Engagement!
I can't believe that business men continue to RUN illegal occupations of Nations,as if they have the EXPERIENCE AND KNOW-HOW or the right!
But then Iraq,to them,is merely just a BUSINESS/RESOURCE POWER struggle,so what's NEW???
And to see the military 'generals' kow-towing to demented politicians is NAUSEATING! Where's the HONOUR in that?
I expected NOTHING from Petraeus, because he is merely the voice and echo of CHENEY and Bush, which to me,sort of takes the sheen and colour off much of his military metal and ribbons!
I have more respect for people like ADMIRAL FALLON who refused to kow-tow to political spin and BLATANT LIES,which the American AND IRAQI people are already AWARE of! Now that's a man who wears his rank and noble uniform with pride and NON-PARTISAN,pure American honour!
And still,at the end of the long day at SENATE I didn't hear ONE WITNESS or ONE PANELIST ask,'WHAT DO THE IRAQI PEOPLE WANT US TO DO'?
Where were the Iraq 'government' representatives AT THE SAME SENATE MEETING??
Didn't Crocker or Petraeus CONSIDER that it may have been polite to INCLUDE them at the War Committee 'meeting', so that they could respectfully speak THEIR MINDS to the American people about THEIR OWN COUNTRY,their soil, their sovereign Nation that our heavy boots are methodically destroying, whether by ignorance OR indifference,OR BOTH?

Did anyone ASK THEM......or isn't that an option or consideration in the White-agon?
So,I wasn't disappointed with Petra-Crock! More's the pity, because I expected nothing MORE from them anyway.
What disturbs me more is that I really don't see the Democrats showing any balls in STRENUOUSLY objecting, blocking,or trying to do ANYTHING OTHER THAN WILLINGLY PICK UP Bush's dirty BIG mess, without ANY iota of accountability being shown in court of civil law.
What are my "thoughts" on this?

Bush's thugs have destroyed a country that did NOTHING to us!
-4,000++ American lives have been sacrificed,
-40,000+++ American armed-service people have been permanently injured/maimed and will be thrown on the 'no-longer useful' pile! Thanks, but see-ya!
-perhaps A MILLION Iraqis have been killed!
-a proud Iraqi multi-sectarian infrastructure DEMOLISHED,
-MILLIONS of Iraqi people displaced and living in crappy neighbouring 'DARFUR'-like camps,
-and last but not least,OUR OWN National fiscal DEBT is the about to BANKRUPT US from the bottom up(of course)!
"Noble"..."Successful"???

As a patriotic American,a caring human being with a conscience,I can quite proudly say, "F**K you Bush,Cheney,Rice,Rumsfeld,Bremmer,"!

Iraq belongs to the IRAQIS!

Peace,Salaam,Shalom!

There is nothing noble with Bush. It`s all babble, and lies.

President Bush on Thursday ordered an indefinite halt in U.S. troop withdrawals from Iraq after July, embracing the key recommendations of his top war commander. Bush said Gen. David Petraeus will ``have all the time he needs'' to consider when more American forces could return home.

Bush's decisions virtually guarantee a major U.S. presence in Iraq throughout his term in office in January, when a new president takes office.

Bush also used the speech to remind Congress that he still sees Iraq as a noble, successful cause. What are your thoughts on this?
