What a wonderful documentary of the about Sirwan,a Kurdish man(presently in New Zealand),who travels back to his ancestral home,to retrace his ancestral refugee footsteps and childhood.
It was difficult to have to see him confront bitterness by other Nationals whose land was a life-saving refuge to the Kurdish(and other)refugees.Especially when you know that there is NO SUCH THING AS A WILLING REFUGEE. It's mandatory to preserve life.
To see Sirwan so filled with happiness when he eventually met up with his Kurdish family, including his beloved "nanna", was a wonderful thing to see and I can only hope that thousands more who must endure enforced refugee status due to,illegal occupations, ethnic cleansing and racism etc will hold on to this ACHIEVABLE hope!
It's a wonderful thing to see DEMONS weakened and GOOD prevail!
Great Documentary!
