There are MANY points in your posting that I agree with.
I believe in God,and that SAME deep spiritual faith is between ME and God,and how I live my life and the the actions I take toward others.
My soul is my doorway to God and my conscience is the path to that doorway.So the pathway has to feel clean and clear as much as possible,to get to the door,whenever and if that may be?
Before I act on anything,in my humble,human,fallible way,I think it is necessary to be responsible,and AVOID/EVADE anything that might hurt myself AND EQUALLY other people as a consequence.That keeps the pathway clear of a lot of conscience cr**,that pollutes the soul(jams the door).
I have many friends of all branches of Religions,and I find that all of them are moderate,flexible and keep their faith(like me)private and respectful. It's not any more DILUTED than any other,for sure.In fact it's freer and healthier and more accepting because it's not tightly squeezed into a box where it will struggle and suffocate on itself,by burning up the oxygen into carbon MONOXIDE!

One of the things we all have in common,it seems,is the feeling that mixing Religion with Politics feeds hate,bigotry and rascism because the HUMAN SELFISH WEAKNESS and LUST for geo-political power(plus a touch of delusion and paranoia thrown in)is a dead-end road,which corrupts the mind,spirit and soul.
I have GREAT respect for all religions.
The ancient monotheistic ones are sentimental to me because I believe there is only one God,and God is in EVERYTHING that is good,generous,forgiving,accepting and kind.
The rest is material! Finite! Dust!
The rest is up to YOUR own level of human morals and ethics and what your GOOD CONSCIENCE tells you is RIGHT FOR ALL,equally!

So whether it's Islam,Christianity or Judaism, etc,that's fine.
But within ALL of those,there are the filthy,corrupt,scum-bag elements,who abuse their religion(of many)for the selfish POLITICAL ENDS of the FEW!
So it's not the ZIONISTIC belief that I have a problem with. Hey Whatever!

It's when the political and selfish radicals within IT,ABUSE that belief to HYPOCRITICALLY HARM AND KILL OTHERS,in Gods name,and stop them having what is rightfully AND EQUALLY theirs as given by God,or sweated and toiled over for years gone past,often in PEACEFUL ANCESTRY.
I don't care whether it's Jewish Zionism,Christian Zionism,Islamo-fascism,FLOWER-POWER,or EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL FANATICS LOL!
The more radical and fanatical it gets the FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH(the pathway)IT STEERS,away from the soul(the doorway)! AND INTO THE DARK VOID AND THE ABYSS!

So it's NOT any religion I have a problem with,it's the pockets of diseased minds within EACH that would USURP their faith,use the power of ignorance,money,politics and TERROR to sell their souls to evil,at the expense of ALL OTHERS within their OWN faiths.
If we are JUST talking of Israel:
I think Israel gets my anger up,(like many others)because they are supposed to set such an example of GOODNESS and purity.
They keep saying they are the "CHOSEN ONES".
Yet they(the Government and MANY OF THE RADICAL PEOPLE)NEVER set a good example of being the image of a good,merciful and generous GOVERNMENT under GOD!
I can't SEE/recognise God and his teachings in the ACTIONS,WORDS and empty promises of the Government of Israel. AND,I can't abide HYPOCRISY!
It's the same nut-case few that made the rest of Western/Eastern Europe pre and post WW2 impatient with,and TIRED OF,the ongoing pain-in-the-a*** whining of the those who could see NOTHING ELSE but a "Zionist" State for the "chosen people"!

Likewise, until moderate Muslims (if there are really such) reject racism in all forms, they can't expect Islam to enjoy full respect as a political and spiritual force among the world's people.

Listening to the news today concerning the obviously blatant murder of Reuters cameraman Fadel Shana,and colleagues,I hope that Reuters News agency honour their employee(Fadel)by following through,down to the smallest detail,the accountability of the IDF and the tank crews responsible for firing on a CLEARLY marked PRESS VEHICLE and its 'PRESS' vested staff!!
Reuters,by possibly withdrawing their press coverage of the genocide of the Palestinian people AND THE RIGHT,and obligation,OF THE WORLD FREE PRESS to make sure the world is constantly aware of the illegal actions of the Israeli administration,will only assist the immoral collective punishment to continue,by shutting down their coverage of Gaza.
The world press have fought tooth and nail to cover the Burma and China disasters(whether natural or exacerbated by military dictators negligence i.e.Burma),they should not abandon another area(Gaza) where people,including those representing the free world press,are being targeted through zoom lens tank-gun sights,and sniper-towers DAILY!
