Good to see that Japan have decided to endorse the treaty of banning cluster bombs too. KUDOS to them!
Ron,LOL! That was donkeys years ago! There have been some MAGNIFICENT sunsets along with the sunrises,since then,over British modern day(until Tony Eclair and 9/11 came along).
Those "never sets" days are long gone,thank God,because they never were SO glorious,in reality,in terms of human-rights and compassion. But then,what has changed?
Now the Japanese sun is setting on cluster bombs,thank God!
Because who needs cluster bombs when there are enough pious sanctimonious hypocrits of politicians and corporate CEO's who are,themselves,WORSE WMD's and weapons of MASS MAIMING now than any cluster bomb ever was!
We should be clearing out the filthy 'arsenal' of these multi-national politicians who are too trigger-happy and oil men PROFITING FROM OUR TAXES at the expense of OUR,and others,BLOOD! They form their OWN deadly 'CLUSTER' and hanker to be OMNIPOTENT,and to heck with Democracy!

One good thing about crossing the 'pond' is that you have the pleasure of witnessing SOME common-sense,humane actions sometimes.
Hence,the GREAT NEWS that the U.K's Gordon Brown(Prime Minister)is presently taking part in talks in Ireland to FINALLY get rid of the complete UK military arsenal of the Israeli made brutal cluster bombs!!!
And about bloody time too!
The U.S.of course are not 'tickled' about the request that THEY get rid of THEIR cluster arsenal stored on US bases on UK soil,but they may not have an option,because the British people are solidly sure that they want rid of the brutal instruments of mass destruction.
So,Bravo Britannia,for doing the right thing,and signing,in December,the Treaty to ban and clear out cluster-bombs FINALLY! They shall NOT BE MISSED!
Maybe,nudge,nudge,wink,wink...the US,INDIA,RUSSIA and China(who are presently refusing to acknowledge the humanity of the treaty)will step up to the HUMANE 'PLATE' of good conscience and DO THE SAME,in the VERY near future.
The move can only improve their failing public political IMAGES.
Israel dropped a million of these horrendous bombs on Southern Lebanon AND THEY are still causing GODLESS HAVOC!
One last thing to say on Cluster Bombs....
