Yeh right! You mean now that they have been repaired and upgraded using tens of millions of dollars that was allocated,and should have gone to the KATRINA human victims.BUT SOMEHOW floated,quietly by,out to the off-shore rigs that had also been 'victim' to Katrina!
Plus with INCREASING SEASONAL HURRICANES,in that part AND only a limited supply of RECOVERABLE oil,that would be TOO LITTLE,at TOO HIGH A FISCAL COST,for TOO SHORT A TIME,FOR TOO MANY Americans! LOL!
Just like the ANWR area! LOL!

They tell you how many WONDERFUL greasy MILLIONS OF GALLONS there are down there in crude volume,BUT,they don't tell us how much is actually RECOVERABLE/USABLE,as opposed to the length of TIME,MASSIVE COST,MASSIVE waste product and pollution/devastation,that it will take to get it ready as a utility resource.
The American offshore drilling AND ANWR included,is like a drop of water,that might last 1-5 years,AT MOST,in comparison to the supplies that Bush,Chaney and the rest of the Neo-Cons are preparin to STEAL from Asia(Iran,Afghanistan etc).
Look at the bigger picture.
You think they are going to waste their well layed out plans for a 'CRUMB' when they WANT,and are preparing to take the whole 'CAKE'?
Our off-shore drilling and ANWR is an election/media distraction,BETTYA,to get us,the American people to move our thoughts away from Iraq,Iran and make it look good,as if OUR 'ESTEEMED' politicians are giving a hoot about OUR National recovery and pretending that we can live off our OWN SUPPLIES OF FOSSIL-FUELS! LOL!
What we have down there,is dew on a blade of grass,in comparison to the whole 'rainstorm'(Oil and Natural Gas)under the ground and waters of Asia.
Then,while we're patriotically 'banking' on being 'self-sufficient'as a Nation,the propaganda drums of war AGAINST IRAN thump on!
Bush and Cheney only have SIX months left. In that time WE CAN LOSE DEMOCRACY TOTALLY and become a dictatorship.All it will take is another 9/11(GENUINE OR CONTRIVED WITHIN) for Bush to establish martial law and attack Iran!
If they can lie about Iraq then invade and occupy it and GET AWAY WITH IT,at the expense/sacrifice of 7,000 American lives(and counting),then it's quite feasible that they are going to continue on the track of setting up Iran as the big DEVIL INCARNATE,to provoke some sort of offensive action from THEM(real OR CIA contrived) to give Bush and his Neo-Cons the big excuse to drop chemical weapons on Iran! They would never NUKE Iran BECAUSE they need their INFRASTRUCTURE undamaged!!!
Look at the nuclear issue.
Iran is working on nuclear power,for "energy purposes",BUT THEY HAVE NO WHERE NEAR AS MUCH AS THEY NEED,to create a megaton Nuke bomb,to take on the USA,for God's sake,AND BUSH knows that,but doesn't care. He has to push the propaganda message across that they DO,in order to justify what comes next from HIS STINKING BALL-COURT!
Do you really think that Iran is going to aim a few paltry nuclear-tipped missiles at America and it's allies(what's left) when America and its arsenal,and Israel,with it's illegal 200++ nuclear warhead missiles,PLUS THE American 5th fleet in The Persian Gulf and ALL THEIR ARSENAL,CAN BLOW THE BALLS OFF IRAN,LITERALLY!

I really think that in these circumstances,after 8 years(at least) of Presidential and Vice-Presidential abuse of PUBLIC OFFICE, the very privilege of Presidential pardon should NOT be applicable this time around:
BECAUSE THE PARDONERS ARE COMPLICIT WITH THE WOULD-BE PARDONED IN THE SAME DAMN HIGH CRIMES OF OFFICE.
That's IMMEDIATE conflict of interest!!!!
And if the President,and 'Vice' President's professional status,is 'UNDER SUSPICION AND/OR INVESTIGATION' by any legislative party within the Rule of Law,then they SHOULD lose their RIGHT to the privelege of pardoning OUTSIDE THE LAW or being PARDONED themselves.
If they have ABUSED THEIR OATH AND OFFICE then ALL Presidential priveleges SHOULD BE SUSPENDED, pending a public prosecution.

Whoever steps into the Oval Office next is MORALLY and ETHICALLY OBLIGATED to make sure that the American people are appeased,because the people are at boiling point,Democracy is almost dead,the economy is on life-support only,our international reputation is in tatters,just like the Constitution and the people have had ENOUGH.
Apart from that,everything is JUST HUNKY-DORY! LOL!
