After so much,it is difficult to hope TOO much,but still worth HOPING SOMEWHAT,step by step,hour by hour,day by day,that BOTH sides will honour an agreement and NOT do anything foolish or selfish.
I pray that both sides are pure in heart about this,with NO POLITICAL ulterior motives.
I hope that,all Palestinians and Israelis,can come to sleep through peaceful nights,and NOT be suspicious that the quiet of the night is JUST the calm before another storm of rocket-fire,death and destruction.
I hope that the Israeli Government is not using this as a ruse to do something MORE DEADLY AGAIN,for much LARGER political 'interests',where they can blame Hamas for not be open to ANY peace process 'offered'.
I hope that Hamas will abide by the cease-fire and NOT give Israel ANY excuse to continue its collective punishment ON ANY PALESTINIANS whether Hamas or Fatah or WHATEVER!
For both sides,to reach a time when one does NOT have to fear the quiet of night as an omen of pain to come,or fear peaceful sleep as a lapse in being vigilant,would be a blessing and NOT too much to ASK FOR,SURELY?

But,while this is playing out,we must also remember that this is a dangerous period approaching.
Bush and Cheney and all their cohorts(domestic and foreign)are still in office,and many things,good AND DREADFUL can happen in the next six months if we do not watch their EVERY move and hold them accountable.
There may be ANOTHER cease-fire in Gaza,but my scepticism makes me wonder what political 'trip-wires' have been laid out,by the Neo-Cons who are still hard focused on Iran/Afghanistan/Iraq and all their oil and natural gas/resources?
Let's hope and pray that one small mistake(relatively speaking) made by EITHER Israel OR the Palestinians on this cease-fire will NOT BE the excuse Bush,Cheney and Olmert need,and are LOOKING FOR,to lead to reprisals that will end in dropping chemical weapons,en masse,on Iran,before the next American elections.
If WE ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE AN ELECTION,without martial law being installed by then,thereby suspending ANY new Presidential election and assuring a CONTINUATION of the Bush/Cheney DICTATORSHIP due to 'UNFORESEEN' circumstances!
Lord knows,I love my country,but I don't trust it's administration AN INCH!
