I feel so sad that families are fleeing their homes,because of the violent political/sectarian splits inside their Religion.But,perhaps Islam has come to the point where it needs a 'reality check' and a spring-clean,to bring it back to it's true meaning,i.e. reflecting the Beneficient,Merciful and Compassionate God.In Islam,isn't it 'man's' goal,to look outside the 'human'box of fallibility and try to act and live in the manner of the one God? This does not entail living a life of fear and terror where people are afraid to laugh,sing and dance in public,and be able to question and debate each other,without fear of a bullet in the back of the head! We MUST root out the bad viruses within,that would destroy the unity of peace loving Muslims,their religion,and distract the focus away from God's peace,tolerance and human equality and neutrality in favour of that of power by violence,blood,threats and blatant terrorism.These personality traits do not come from God OR reason, they are human weaknesses with selfish ends,by selfish means. I spent many years in different Islamic countries,working,exploring and getting to know the many different people, the big majority of whom, were just marvellous,fun-loving,welcoming people,who I will always pleasantly remember.Those are the people,who are nearest to the image of a kind and welcoming God.
I truely hope that the pain and anxiety that is going on between people will be the way to isolate those who would spread terror,amongst the rest of those who seek peace.
Hamas, Islamic Jihad Org,Al Qaeda,etc and all extremist groups will be their own worst enemies,because by their very actions,they get further and further away from a kind and loving God,the One God!
There's one good thing about a good spring clean,it gets rid of a lot a dust and bacteria,that begins to clog the heart and brain!
I still hope to see newly-peaceful sovereign States(Countries),such as Lebanon,Palestine,Iraq,Israel,Jordan etc etc living equally side by side.
Life is too short for fear and terror,and doesn't leave time for talk,tea,sweets,good music and company and a great game of FOOTBALL!(Liverpool)
