Thank you Grassroots. I have been looking for documentation of our involvement. Certainly a Georgian attack on a separatist territory UNDER Russian protection ON the first day of the Olympics in China is no coincidence.

I wonder if anyone noticed today that the NY Times appears to be chastising the US for not intervening on behalf of the Georgians who are complaining that we did not come to support their effort. This, combined with the fact that they seem to have dismissed, if they ever printed it, the fact that Georgia started the conflict. Since they appear to have reporters on the ground in Georgia, you would think they could at least get their facts right. It seems clear from the international press that Georgia not only initiated the conflict, but that their president was expecting enough support to win it.

Hard to imagine even George Bush going to war with Russia. Looks like we are going to give the Georgians the same treatment we gave the Shia in Iraq after the first Gulf War. Dubya could write a best selling book on "Winning Hearts and Minds". When you see little George in action, you can believe that his grandfather was supplying the Nazis right up until the day the US entered the war.
