When Georgia attacked South Ossetia,the population there RAN TO Russia for protection,and PREFER be regarded as Russian.Especially the Muslim people there, who have ancient links to Iran! They don't want to be ETHNICALLY CLEANSED by the Orthodox Christians(mainly)in Georgia,with the help of Israeli(Jewish)weapons,aircraft,bombs and mercenary soldiers!
That is REALLY DODGY ground,that America should not mess with AGAIN,because Israel/Palestine is enough already!
Russia responded promptly and sternly,as it should,to protect the people who SOUGHT it's help! Yet Russia is being slammed as the AGGRESSOR?

If someone ATTACKED my friends and family,for NO APPARENT RATIONAL REASON THAT WARRANTED MILITARY INCURSION,I would BE PISSED TO,and I would certainly rush to help them,and stay with them until the threat was ABATED!
That's what Russia did. As the threat reduces,they withdraw slowly,methodically and at their own darn PACE!

This is some shit...I don't see any good coming out of this Georgia/Russia "situation". Russia will do what it wants and France will continue "to wait" for them. We need strong leadership on this issue. The sleeping Bear has awakened, and it's pissed. Every minute we wait for the Russians to pull out, is devastating to the world. Russia wants it's breakaway states back and sees that the global climate is prime for action. Long term goal for them is the control of Gas and Oil flowing into Europe..
