I wonder how Palin and her family are dealing with the psychological counselling following the birth of a Down's Syndrome baby,to?
A neighbour of mine had to go through the same counselling post-partum after also having a Down's Syndrome baby TWO YEARS AGO!
She said it was VERY TOUGH AND VERY EMOTIONAL and it almost wrecked her marriage,and career,because of the total commitment necessary.
And there were a lot of emotional and mental hurdles to OVERCOME!

Plus,the majority of Americans NEVER leave American soil,(except Canada or Mexico)

Some Americans never LEAVE their native STATES,in a WHOLE LIFETIME,so it's no surprise that they know SO LITTLE about the rest of the planet and all it's peoples,languages,cultures,customs and faiths.

This is VERY visible the more into the rural hinterland you get!

You could say,"Yes,but America is a huge melting-pot of the rest of the world.
So Americans can WITNESS the planet right here on their shores!"

But,most of everything that arrives here,to live,ASSIMILATES into American society
and becomes a very diluted version of its OWN unique ancestral culture OVERSEAS!
Combine that with present:
-corporate censored mainstream media,
-lousy education for the majority(compared with the REST OF Western civilization),
-terrible dietary habits(nationwide),
-crap healthcare comparably,
-UNBELIEVABLY bad employment standards and SLAVE-LABOR HOURS,
-with VERY LTTLE Union representation to protect workers rights,
-persistent suppression of information and,
-OPPRESSION by poverty and UNEMPLOYMENT,
-and the continuing spin on Capitalism(which benefits the few NOT THE MANY),

and you can understand why so many Americans become so INSULAR,and isloated from the rest of the planet,and indifferent to their own Nations political mechanism! LOL!
They are struggling,against the OPPRESSION,just to get by,day by day,in what's turning into a third world country,for the majority,with an elite 'I'm alright Jack' minority on top(usually in the White House LOL!)

The best thing we can do as a country is keep religion a personal matter with no bearing on government what-so-ever. Yet she seems to do the exact opposite by introducing religion into everything. "God's wants a $30,000,000,000 oil pipeline"?
Even though I disagree with what she says/believes, I am so glad this is all coming out now so that it hurts their election campaign. She is starting to look very foolish and it has only been a few days. I don't know if I can stand 4-8 more years of this nonsense. I will have to take advantage of my Irish dual-citizenship for a few years.
