the animals therefore understand more about this world than man and his science.

Know this lisak,wildananas,homos, and supporters....before God created anything,when everything was void,...His 'Word' was already here. the Word was with God and the Word was God. What is His 'Word'?... it is His eternal truths.

If His Word was in Sodom or Babylon or the other thousands of cities that practiced gay life styles openly & abundantly - these places would still be in existance today. in fact they would be thriving metropolises today.
But they are dust under the feet of the poor,every one gone forever.

Science can not measure spiritual things. neither can it understand the wisdom of God. God will not alter his Word for man.

It is man who must bend to the 'Will of God.'

While your argument is certainly passionate, it is by no means logical or correct. If by "God" (and I use the term lightly) you are referring to the Christian or Jewish version, then I can offer this. The Bible refers to homosexuality in a very ambiguous sense. We don't know what exactly the Bible means in those verses because nothing is explicitly clear, and any references to sexual activity is vague. That being said, calling it an "abomination" is a term used to mean "against the common practice." It is equal to all of the other sins- among which includes eating shellfish, working on a sunday, and hundreds of other things that we do in our daily lives.

The holy books- Bible, Koran, Tanakh- were written hundreds, some even thousands, of years ago, at a time when we didn't have advanced science or medicine. We are now in the year 2008, which means that we have made incredible advances since the time of our ancestors. We have much more of a scientific understanding of these things. We now know that homosexuality is not a choice, it is a physical, psychological, genetic, anatomical variation that people are BORN with. Now that we understand this, we can move forward with granting these people their god-given rights. If you are someone who believes in God, then you must realize that God created us the way we are and to question that is questioning God. I don't know of anyone who is worthy of that.

as i read this thread, in part trying to find where this went of topic, i came across some good post (the two stories about the out come of unions either based on lies or "illegal") and that was reassured me cos for the time it took me to read this first page i was feeling let down, thought a site like this would have some good discussions but well everyone has access to everything on the net, that's the net i guess.

my addition to this discussion is a question i guess: thegardener, jagib and jonthan you're points of view and opinions are well known and i think you know that. i also believe that you know what responses those opinions generate on forums on this question. my question to you but not just you, those that oppose gay marriage too, is:
giving that some sort of union is going to happen, probably before 2010 are you not capable of proposing an alternative? maybe give us an idea of what u deem acceptable or you just capable of flaunting your "original" and/or personal thoughts crudely on discussion boards such as this one?

Well, I believe it should beacuse (attacking the common christian argument against it)..If more than 2/3 of our nation is Christian, and more than 60 % of all marriages end in divorce, and around 30 to 40 % of those who didn't get divorced admit having an affair....How is 2 guys or 2 girls getting married any larger of a sin?
