I think "round 3" has already begun---"they" couldn't wipe the Indians out be making them dirt poor--so they are going for round three in making them filthy rich with the casino thing...thus wiping them out with riches because no-one thought them how to manage money...I see it happening because I live next do to it...

As a citizen who believes in human-rights I believe America SHOULD FIRST disassociate itself with other international human-rights abusers,clean up the international trade agreements where ILLEGAL sweat-shop,blood-soaked labour is used in order to sell US THEIR CHEAP SWAG,UNHEALTHY,SAFETY NON-REGULATED PRODUCTS.
Immigration MUST BE LEGAL and controlled.Always,the first option in jobs should be given to American citizens or filled by foreigners who ARE BETTER qualified than Americans.
There should be an ANNUAL limit to immigration,and once that number is met immigration must wait in line. It has to be legal with a good working/academic knowledge of English and the subjects applicable to work/career!
It should be a graduated immigration,leading to citizenship,with criminal activities A BIG ONUS!
By making immigration LEGAL it protects the arrivals/foreigners from abuse and makes sure they get equal pay for equal benefits,union rights and social respect.It also provides a safety barrier against tropical diseases coming in,which could lead to National epidemics.
Europe is having A TERRIBLE TIME WITH ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and believe you me, they are REALLY cracking down,before the whole system collapses,especially as locals are getting MORE AND more,disgruntled with the burdens,and intrusions of illegal immigrants.
I don't know ANYONE who can object to regulated(annual limit)LEGAL immigration.Many foreign nationals have MUCH TO OFFER culturally,professionally,technically and socially.
And if they are legally migrant they are more likely to assimilate into the host society with comfort and welcome as equals AND FEEL HAPPY AND SETTLED and know that all their documents are guarranteed and LEGAL!
But, as long as OUR GOVERNMENT remains a corrupt Government that thrives on sharing corruption with OTHER nations, NOTHING will change for the better,for us OR ANYONE FOOL wanting to come here right now! LOL!

I think there will always be a "problem" with "illegal immigration" as long as they continue to "allow" illegal drugs to come in and out of this country.
When the tech is ready to force everyone to get their chip embedded in their skin, then the "problem" will be less a "problem".

I would encourage legal immigration. There's no real excuse for illegal immigration when there is a pathway to do it legally.
I have a "buy/rent" theory. People who come here legally these days was to "buy" this country and be a permanent member of society and contribute long term. The older immigrants of 100 years ago had no choice but to "buy" this country due to transportation limitations. They just packed all of their belongings into a suitcase, got onto a ship for 2-3 weeks with the ticket they used their life savings on, and realized they would probably never see the old world ever again.
The people who "rent" this country are the ones who come here illegally for the short term, make quick money that they will then send back to their original country, then return in a year or two so that another can take their place in the same cycle.
If nothing is stopping a person from becoming a legal immigrant, then there should be excuses for illegal immigrants.
