Now I find that DISGUSTING and INSULTING to all VETS and PRESENT men and women in uniform who serve their country!
The DOD stifle everything that they know it going to make them LIABLE in any medical/insurance/legal family claim!
Well,why don't they just abandon our boys and girls in the battle zone.They sure don't want them coming home in daylight,with dignity,under a draped flag either!
Now they are CENSORING and suppressing statistics and info that those military families ARE ENTITLED TO HAVE to make medical claims or claim against military(DOD)neglect of in-field personnel.
Disgraceful! They risk their lives for America and a corrupt administration,and come HOME TO get thrown aside like LANDFILL,by the the very same leaders they serve.
And you can bet that somewhere amongst all that info,is the proof of how many troops and personnel have been exposed to chemical,radiological weaponry POISONING,including Depleted Uranium,and now risk cancers,multiple sclerosis,mood/behavior changes,respiratory diseases,glaucome,cataracts,PTSD,TBI etc etc.

I think we are being brainwashed to believe that "the economy" is the most important topic in deciding our vote. I think "they" are doing this to take our eyes off all the other screw-ups that have occurred and will continue on; IE: the Iraq war, the Afghanistan war, immigration problems, illicit drugs flowing in and out of this 'country' like rivers, high flatulent executives ripping off the banks and Companies in which they have worked, bleeding health care...etc!

Just think about what is going on that the news is not reporting--I guess if they reported it all--we wouldn't vote! I am thankful to have access to the foreign news reports to learn what is really happening in the other parts of the world and how the US is involved!! I think I have made up my mind--I ain't voting--because I do not fit into the two categories that Palin set forth in her "speech"> I am not a "joe six pack" or a "soccer mom"--so there!!

I agree with your points too,and we must remember that even MORE than 4200 have died,because they don't even include the numbers of American Private Contractors in those public Stats.
And on top of that we have to remember the THOUSANDS of Iraqi men,women and children who have also suffered and died since the 'spectacle'of "Shock and Awe".
That was as shameful as 9/11. I was shocked,and wept,but felt NO AWE!
Because for all those 'pretty lights and flashes' MANY people were dying right there and then,in terrible pain for having done NOTHING!
Soon,when our boys and girls come home(hopefully)with ALL their wounds and nightmares,they do ALSO have to worry out this DEPLETED URANIUM RADIATION,left over from our DU weapons dropped in the Gulf war! The Iraqi people have been suffering with this since the Gulf War.Their symptons,cancers,birth abnormalities must be investigated to shed light on what may lay in the near future for any of our troops who HAVE been exposed,especially the youngsters who plan on having KIDS ASWELL!

My apologies, I do not know how to edit a post after it has been posted. In my previous post I incorrectly referred to the FBI Director as Fred Muller, his name is Robert Mueller. Have always felt that the Iraq War was an illegal war based on the "United Nations" resolution that the United States and member nations of the UN voted on and approved years ago in an effort to ensure more diplomatic measures would be utilized as the primary course of action to ensure peaceful coexistence.

Also was certain that director of the "CIA" George Tenet was "out of control" and his source in Iraq was questionable and unreliable. There was also a lack of counter-intelligence after Odom left that allowed Tenet to run the "CIA" without impunity. Tenet as director of the "CIA" was also responsible for the "FBI." Director of the "FBI" Fred Muller reported to Tenet. Tenet did not encourage or promote the exchange of information between the two agencies which was clearly problematic. "Secretary of Defense" Donald Rumsfeld did not listen to his military advisers and sent our soldiers into Iraq undermanned and without the proper equipment to protect themselves adequately. This was done with the full knowledge of the "Commander in Chief."

It leads me to the conclusion that the Iraq war was not a just and patriotic war. What our government did was wrong but we the American people allowed. In fairness the American people were hell bent on revenge and retribution, the majority of Americans supported this war and gave the President and Congress "carte blanche" to engage in a full scale attack on the sovereign country of Iraq. Millions of Americans cheered wildly when they saw "Shock and Awe" televised across our nation. Our "victory" was short lived. Since it's inception over 4000 American heroes lost their lives in Iraq. Thousands of American soldiers suffer both physical and emotional wounds and may never fully recover.

The future of the US in Iraq will be shaped by the American people if they become more proactive and invest their time and energy in bringing about a swift end to this war. In truth the victory will be realized when we have a clearly defined "exit strategy" that will bring our soldiers home safe and sound as quickly as possible. We can also salvage the situation by helping rebuild the economy of Iraq which we effectively destroyed. To force our democratic ideology or even worse our religious convictions on a sovereign nation that is predominantly Muslim is unconscionable. To restore the economy of Iraq is our responsibility, and hopefully our allies will participate in that rebuilding process. No nation can function without a viable and healthy economy, we destroyed Iraq, we are responsible for rebuilding it.

Neither presidential candidate seems that interested in healing the bi-partisan divisiveness that exists in our government, the American people do not seem interested in healing that growing divide between the two viewpoints either. My hope is that after the 2008 election, the American people will resolve their personal differences, to once again become united in their commitment to take the appropriate steps to monitor the actions of our elected officials much more closely and diligently. When warranted we must demand their resignation from political office and if need be we must prosecute them to the full extent of the law.

I've heard some interesting conspiracy theories on the subject.The one that would be most logical is the oil conspiracy.After the oil reserves run dry America and Canada will still have massive oil reserves within there borders.This will allow them complete control of the monopoly. But there are so many conspiracy who's to say if and what one is right.This is just the most logical one out of all that I've heard of.
