I so wish Link would consider a new project to rival BookTv.

LOL! my apologies sunset,I guess the National elections and Global situations have been front and center lately.
I think it would be a great idea to have a BookLink Club.
It's always important for people to have info of ALL literature,to make a choice from.
I wonder whether Link has the budget for that right now though?
Especially with the viewers knuckling down on their personal finances, after this financial mess lol!
I was worried that viewers may NOT be able to donate as much to keep viewer-sponsored Link in the black, this season too.
I read constantly and love it,and always have a stack of books to go through on all topics,so I would support a book Club for sure.
Hey! they could call it B-LINK! LOL! Get it?
Keep pushing,sunset.We hear ya!

One last try. BookTv has a big audience, and who do you think Brian Lamb had on this morning? The anti-semitic, racist propagandist from WorldNetDaily -- and on G. Gordon Liddy's show, no less. It was a twofer!

A show like this would have minimal production costs. So many good, new books and authors to choose from. LINK could do so much better than this.

I'm going to kick this up one more time in case anyone would consider it.

CSPAN's BookTV is heavily weighed with propaganda in public service drag. But, it's a good idea, too. Anyone?

CSPAN's BookTv is a great idea. Every weekend, viewers can preview non-fiction books and their authors and sometimes, topic panels, on a wide variety of subjects. It's a great way to expand and populate your reading list.

But, CSPAN isn't an honest actor. It's not neutral. Many of the segments they run are straight propaganda. For example, about two weeks ago, Brian Lamb ran that horrible Jerome Corsi four times in 24 hours. I've never kept track for a whole weekend, but the airing of segments that are right wing propaganda to real authors talking about real work overwhelms the stated mission of BookTv.

I post at a big on line community and we used to get "together" every Friday night to look over the coming weekend's offerings. We don't any more because the insertion of thinly veiled product from AEI and other right wing "think tanks" is just too depressing.

I can't imagine that the costs of a project like this would be very high. And there certainly is an audience for it.
