Yes! Let's hope Obama uses this opportunity wisely,because it's A GIFT of a bridge to get the USA away from all the horrors and CRIMES of Bush/Cheney,domestic and FOREIGN.
Now we have a chance to show that America is intelligent,looking for mutual peace and prosperity with other Nations,MULTILATERALLY,and that we are STRONG enough to never fear mutual and politely critical diplomatic dialogue first,above the empty-headed belligerent firing of missiles and dropping of OBNOXIOUS 'pre-emptive' bombs,that kill and maim MORE innocents than those ACTUALLY guilty of anything.
That is JUST SO NEANDERTHAL and brutal.
America, for SO long,was a highly regarded MENTOR,of progress and peace,to all,and Bush/Clinton/Bush razed that image TO THE GROUND,by their actions,decisions and refusal to dialogue as intelligent,educated,reasonable citizens.
What on EARTH can the US lose by agreeing to unconditional baseline dialogue?
We are still the most "powerful" nation ON EARTH-JUST!
We have nothing to lose,just MASSES of socio/economic/political/ethical/moral and HUMAN POINTS TO GAIN!!! lol!
It's a NO-BRAINER!
Right now,America is the brunt of so many international JOKES,because our leaders of the last 3 decades have ESPOUSED in word,to be EVERYTHING that they have NOT BEEN,in DEED!
That is seen as basic HYPOCRISY and BLATANT double-standards.
Not good for our National 'resume' or integrity.
Obama has a difficult task ahead but I do believe that if he thinks critically,vetts properly,is patient in his INDEPENDENT decision making that he will DO GREAT THINGS IN TIME.
I don't think he will forget his Constutional Rule of Law training, his ethics,morals,spiritual depth and common-sense.
WHOEVER MAY COME BANGING on his Oval Office door for 'FAVORS',and with IOU CHITS!
I think he will remember "WE THE PEOPLE",before 'they the fat-cat crooks',as he promised.
And that includes,some of the Clintonites and Bushites,that are scratching on Obamas shoulder for 'pay-back time' jobs in HIS cabinet RIGHT NOW!
I know that I,for one,like MANY millions of others,will always be there READY TO REMIND HIM!
I was SO PROUD of the world reaction to his election,and KNEW that just that alone could initiate a great POSITIVE global feeling,that could begin a MIGHTY BRIDGE of mutual reconciliation between America and a LOT of Nations that our present Government has SOUGHT,with trickery and delibaration,to HARM un-necessarily,and unforgiveably,through the Bush doctrine off 'PEACE' THROUGH PRE-EMPTIVE 'STRENGTH'(in other words colonial dictatorship).
I believe Obama CAN,and WILL achieve:
-STRENGTH THROUGH PEACE,using mutual respect,the displaying the same respect of the privacy of FOREIGN SOVEREIGN DOMAIN(not "eminent domain" cr**),
-intelligent,diplomatic dialogue and polite critical discussion.
-restoring healthy global alliances,where FOREIGNERS actual SINCERELY welcome Americans without a mixed feeling of suspicion and DREAD.

Barack has been given a 'BLESSED' gift,(just hidden,temporarily,under a BUSH political sewage heap)and a daunting task.
BUT,I feel he will,with OUR HELP,and our patience,trust and OBSERVANCE,do great things that will go down POSTIVELY in history.
I am EXCITED AT THE PROSPECTS of a new GOOD future,for America and the WORLD,and I think Barack Hussein Obama will get us there with us MOVING AROUND him,and supporting him!
My only hope for today is that OBAMA stands strong by his PROMISES to the people FIRST,before paying back any 'election favors'to Corporate/special interest insiders and lobbyists,who will pressure him left,right and center to maintain the happy Republicrat 'status quo' which MOST of the rest of the civilized world see as polluted STAGNATION,politically and economically.

As a Constitutional lawyer and NOW as President who will swear an OATH to uphold the Constitution,I believe it is fair,for all citizens,to expect nothing LESS,than he restore the Constitution,Bill of Rights,Civil Liberties,nullify the UNPATRIOTIC and uconstitutional 'PATRIOT Act',repeal Bush's version of the FISA,so restoring HABEUS CORPUS RIGHTS TO ALL,and erasing,by public condemnation WARRANTLESS WIRETAPPING on innocent citizens(Including troops),from our lives today and in the future.We will not so QUICKLY forget,either,those who wronged US by their abuse of Office power.Their day,in court of Justice and Law,will come.
Obama,may have won the Presidency but he is going to have a tough job ahead to separate the RIGHTS from the WRONGS,especially when those CLOSEST to him may be trying to persuade him that their crimes may be 'RIGHT'!
I don't ENVY him his task,but I feel,AND HAVE FAITH,that he CAN MATCH IT!
Despite the wolves in sheeps clothing lining up at his door to distract him with their FAVORS.
He has seen,as a CONSTITUTIONAL RULE OF LAW LAWYER,what has been destroyed in the Bush/Clinton/Bush years and I hope he remembers that his LAST name is OBAMA,not CLINTON! And that is NOT the United States of Bushinton.
The only promises he OWES to anyone,are those to the VOTERS and to the Constitution,Bill of Rights,Civil Liberties,his family and last but NOT least GOD!
There is SO MUCH to look forward to,as long as we approach it with mutual respect,intelligence and dignity.And perhaps America will be able to HONESTLY say that is a global MENTOR,that others want to grow to become,not just a'LEADER',by any means at all costs,which assumes a position of SELFISH POWER only,and we have seen where THAT HAS GOT US!

I'm suprised those channels call states with 0% of the polls reporting. I remember at 8pm CNN called about 10 states, all reporting 0%.


I heard they did a poll in 23 different countries of who they want to see president and ALL 23 said Obama by about a 3:1 ratio. Our standing in the world has just improved greatly.

It was great to watch uninterrupted intellectual,polite,cultural and spiritual coverage,without BEING PUMMELLED by corporate commercials and 'professional pundits' of MSM stations who are often nothing more than Congressional corporate propaganda pundits,and their 'RESUME' leaves a lot to be desired.
It was a great night to watch on THE PUBLIC COMMONS AIRWAVES/MEDIA,of,by and FOR the people. KUDOS 'Democracy Now'!
I watched the whole night on 'Democracy Now',start to finish,we had our chili dogs etc,and home-brew and EVERYONE felt TRULY AMERICAN again,proud of it,and excited about the future under a young,strong,patient,INTELLIGENT and FUN President Barack OBAMA.
