I am 71 yrs. old. and have researched for 40 yrs. and I agree with your comments; I have found out that God is Spirit, and everything He does, He does in spirit; and that Jesus is the Word, and the Word became flesh; when people receive the Jewish Messiah, they receive the Word and the Spirit; the Spirit will teach us all things. 90% of the teachers of the Gospel are actors and politicians; it's a matter of how loud they yell and how much hairspray they use. If Jesus were to walk into an assembly today, no one would recognize him, because most churches are controlled by the flesh instead of the Spirit. It is written that those who walk in the flesh are enemies of God. Today everybody is poured from the same mold, but yet everybody believes different things. God doesn't write different strokes for different folks. The Word is what it is; there is no contradiction. I would very much like to see our government audit every church in this country, and have every pastor give account for every penny that people have donated. If churches did their jobs, there would be no unemployment or hunger; tithes and offerings would go directly to the people of the community; instead of taking care of people overseas, one's own people and one's surroundings should be taken care of first. How can people take care of God's church when they cannot manage their own homes. When churches no longer have non-profit status, there will be greater accountability. Today, pastors are making movies, own a Mercedes for every day of the week, 7 houses, Leer jets; these are all declared as part of the function of the ministry so they can be tax deductible. If you think there are thieves in the banking system, there are more thieves in churches, using what is holy for their own advantage by selling the Gospel as a product. I am so grateful that those of us who are servants of God are not intimidated by these things, because God created man with a free will and I know that every person will have to answer for his deeds.

All great lies incorporate a measure of truth to enhance believability.
But, when I examine North American Christianity, I see nothing of Christ’s teachings.

Now, I have always preferred the righteous music of Jerry-Lee Lewis, (Great balls o’ fire) to the perverse ramblings of his wicked cousin Jimmy Swaggart!
Every 1st year theologian knows that “wicked” is in reference to the twisting of string, for a candles wick. The implication is obvious, .. “wicked”, is truth twisted!
Spiritual belief is by nature, a personal matter. A matter of God’s great gift to man, free choice. (… & yes,.. freedom of religion, also constitutes freedom FROM religion.)
Religion differs from spirituality in one critical sense; Religion is the repetition of ‘acts’, thought to please god. Spirituality is the interaction of man’s soul with a deity.
Fundamentalist Christians/ Born-Agains, claim such interaction , .. with all mighty god., however, their teachings, ignore/contradict the words of God & focus on the teachings/interpretations of men.
Hence, the American Christian church, is apostate & Pharisaical in nature. (Some are even Sadducee, moral reasoners who deny the resurrection.)
The test is simple. If one goes quietly about his life, he MAY be Godly. Contrarily,. Those who quote scripture as a weapon, most certainly worship god in name only & are possibly the fearful & unbelieving.
