"Message from Michael

Dear friends,

I have been overwhelmed by the warmth and the friendship you have all given me in response to my song for Gaza, "We Will Not Go Down". I am doing my best to go through your numerous messages, emails and comments, and ask you to kindly bear with me until I am able to do so. Please forgive me if I am not able to respond to each and everyone of you; but please also know that I really appreciate your messages...."

Dear Grassroots,I agree with You and I think that the biggest problem is that leaving being have a hard time feeling empathy for what they can t relate to.
We act so superior from other creatures and we are so much the same, look at dogs that, by the way I love, they often choose the same bread as play mates and often have a hard time relating to others,it take time and practice, why do we act as if there is any difference?
Humans not only have the same natural instincts plus they have a hard time realizing that what they were fed as info was totally unilateral and that they could have participated involuntary to this terrible injustice, how do You wrap your head around it? there are still so many thing to do to improve our own life, our neighbor that needs help, the paralyzed ones to take care of ,all the every day fights just to survive and help others, how many can actually have the luxury of fighting over seas battle? There is only so much humans can take and emphasize with,so let s not be to judgmental,we can only fight for a better world with the tools we have, look around You,who needs help now? how is Your family?are we remembering that there is a cause and there is life...we are blessed,we have food,we still have water,do we think it will last for ever?let s try to have a present wile working for a better future
God and Goddess bless love and peace for all

"We will not go down in Gaza tonight.
They can burn down our Mosques, and our homes and our schools,
but the SPIRIT will never die". (Michael Hart)

And you know WHY the spirit will never die?
Because when the spirit is linked with goodness, ethics, morals, unbiased law(Gods or Humanity)it is STRONGER than any other link, that is associated with evil.
Goodness,Mercy,Compassion,Humanity,Intelligence,Mutual Respect are the RIGHT things which will prevail over MIGHT.
What Israel is,and has been doing for SIXTY ++ LONG years is ALL wrong, illegal, amoral, unethical and BLATANTLY brutal.
But all the Israelis can see are the few crude home-made rockets which interrupt their comfortable daily lives,SPORADICALLY,(and usually in RETALIATION for an Israeli OFFENIVE.
The sirens go off and they have their 'bomb shelters'(ironical, because Israel is the one firing the MASSIVE KILLER ARSENAL).They come out,at the all clear, and PICK UP the two foot long empty fire-cracker shells and put them in the house as a souvenir of their PAIN and STRESS.
What they DON'T seem to be able to see,is that places like Sderot are TOTALLY ILLEGAL Jewish-only COLONIES/SETTLEMENTS(built AGAINST UN Resolution 242)!
That they ARE OCCUPYING Palestinian land.
They are STANDING ON STOLEN Palestinian land,TO BEGIN WITH.
The ground, that the rockets land on(,usually harmlessly)BELONGS TO THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE,and HAS DONE FOR CENTURIES PAST!
If they hadn't ILLEGALLY built there and ILLEGALLY COLONISED and ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED that land,THERE WOULDN'T BE ANY ROCKET ATTACKS(unless arranged through the small Arab rival factions that work for Israel,to disrupt the unity).

I was trying to explain to a friend of mine, who had ALSO been a POW in WW2,to imagine how he would feel,if he woke up one moring to find that his house had been wrapped up in barbed wire, with sniper towers around it,floodlights on it,with Nazi like soldiers watching/controlling every move he and his family made, and treating them like dirt.
Nobody could go in or out without permission and PAIN.
All windows closed and his yard/garden plot(where he grows all his fruits and veg)had been taken over by foreign settlers suddenly claiming that EVERYTHING he had built up,paid for, sweated and toiled over, with his family for centuries,WAS THEIRS!
No food,water,schools,toys,work,dignity,self-esteem etc etc.
I asked him," Would you smile and make a pot of tea,sit down and and accept it? Or would you fight, tooth and nail,to your last breath,to protect your family, land and heritage, and get it BACK"?
He stopped for a minute,took a deep breath(remembering WW2,smiled,and said,"Yep,I'd go dig a tunnel,and load up my hunting rifle".LOL!

Now that's a peace-loving,intelligent,compassionate,God-loving human being who realises thatv there is ONLY SO MUCH that ANY HUMAN BEING should have to tolerate,AND it does not include TORTURE,LOSS OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS,IDENTITY,DIGNITY.

By the way, mizo, the strings and the drumbeat in this song are really uplifting and open the door to the soul and conscience. For a minute,it can carry you over the mountains, and passed the clouds, before coming back to the reality of pain and INNOCENTS suffering.
I like the blend of modern with ancient,West with East, urban with desert/oasis.

Might will NOT triumph over RIGHT.
"We will not go down in Gaza tonight".

Peace,Salaam,Shalom.

I love all the Indian culture, and i consider Pakistan as part of this culture, dividing a nation or a group of people based on religion is a Grime, and Britain run away with a lot of THESE crimes and it is time for acknowledgment. A lot of countries acknowledged the real face of colonialism: Divide them, plant the seeds of hate, and let them fight; then Rule them, you are the judge and the policeman, or as reality the hidden criminal.

Wonderful music and rhythmes.
I have always enjoyed the Sufi spirit. It's very meditative and great fun too.
It seems to match the rhythmes of the heart beat, respiration and is very hypnotic and soothing, and I love the way it builds up into enthusiasm and the freeing of the spirit, and soul.
Sufism follows, what I call, the natural steady movement of the heart beat,AT EASE,and the steady spin of the magnetic planet .
I can only describe it as music/movement that GROUNDS you to the earths core, holds the mind, steady in a calm state, but then ALLOWS the soul and spirit to fly UP freely,in to the universe LOL!
Let's say,the human body is the cage, grounded to earth.
The mind is the door, that is UNLOCKED by the voice/singer,drum beat.
And through the door,on the rhythmes of the beat, flies the spirit and soul.
Crazy Eh?
But Sufi makes the world SMILE.
LOL! and the word "Pakistan" to me,(maybe because of my age,and having travelled through Asia before and knowing the modern history of Pakistan etc)still conjures up rich, exotic culture,music,spices/multi-coloured silks/gold in the markets,FANTASTIC SPICEY CREAMY RICH FOOD,spiritualism, humility, wonderful welcoming, talkative people on busy, busy streets, ready with hands to shake and smiles on their faces, incredible colours, especially on the BUSES/taxis,the smells and the sounds, the breezes, and the left over(but beautiful)architecture of the British Empire etc. It's the crossroads of so MANY cultures too.
I'm fortunate to have those memories because in America now, many people have been conditioned to associate "Pakistan" with ATOM BOMBS,TERRORISTS,RADICAL ISLAM and HATRED for the west. And that's MOSTLY a pile of hocus pocus, bovine excrement,to drive fear in to the minds of those who don't know any better.
The greatest weapon of mass destruction IS IGNORANCE.
I shall, therefore hang on to my memories.

Here is a Pakistani legend, Ali Khan, in one of his concert; maybe 20-25 years ago; and you would see in this clip all sort of people dancing, East and West getting along having fun while lestining to a Sufi musician legend. Now when you hear word "Pakistan" what is the first thing would accour to your mind??
