No Fair Fight
Established in 1877 to end the abuse of horses, SPCA-LA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Los Angeles) now mostly focuses its efforts on the area's abandoned and mistreated dogs and cats. In 2006 alone, SPCA-LA found homes for more than 2,200 animals and trained more than 10,000 people in the humane treatment of animals.
