Link TV takes a special look at the ongoing war in Gaza, with a special webpage dedicated to showing perspectives on the crisis outside of the American mainstream media.

What do YOU think?
Should Barack Obama seek accountability for torture, prosecuting members of the Bush Administration for these crimes?

Gaza: The War on Children
Posted January 12, 2009 | 05:03 PM (EST)
War is traumatizing for anybody, but it's especially devastating to children caught in the crossfire. They are the ones who bear absolutely no responsibility for all the violence, yet they are the ones left with some of the worst physical and psychological scars -- scars they'll carry for life...

Gaza: CNN "Missing in Action"
Posted January 8, 2009 | 10:21 AM (EST)
Jerusalem-- Almost two weeks have gone by since Israel launched operation "Cast Lead" on Gaza, and dozens of foreign journalists still wait at the Israeli-Gaza border, watching the military operation in Gaza from afar. Israel still refuses to let any media cross into the strip. The restriction has created a very different reporting atmosphere than that during Israel's Second War on Lebanon in summer of 2006...

Day 10: Gaza Burning
Posted January 5, 2009 | 04:57 AM (EST)
Israel-Gaza Border-- Day 10 and only the numbers have changed; more than 530 dead and 2,500 injured. Heavy fighting is still raging in the Gaza Strip between Israeli forces and Palestinian fighters after Israel launched its ground offensive on the territory. Al Shifa' Hospital has run out of beds to accommodate the injured as a result of the intense Israeli shelling...

No Happy New Year in Palestine
Posted January 1, 2009 | 07:07 AM (EST)
East Jerusalem-- New Year's Day
I wake up with a news hangover. Israeli jets are pounding Gaza for the sixth continuous day, and the IDF continues to build up its forces along the border in preparation for a possible ground invasion. Olmert promises that more is on the way, yet Hamas remains defiant and has not lost its ability to launch rocket attacks on Israeli towns and cities...

Day Four: Gaza War Postings

Near Nahal Oz, Israel -- The Israeli "all-out war" on Gaza has entered its fourth day leaving more than 363 dead and 1,800 wounded. Israeli troop movements on the Gaza border point to an imminent ground battle in the upcoming few days. On Monday, the Israeli military declared the Gaza border, where tanks, artillery and troops are massing for a possible ground offensive, a closed military zone...

1,000 Funerals and Obama

Posted January 16, 2009 by David Michaelis
The 'scorched earth' tactic that Israel employs is showing signs of military success. 13 Israelis killed and more than 1,000 Palestinian dead make the commanders of Israel proud, as it erases the shame of the 2006 Lebanon War. However, the real goal of all the ground attacks is to teach the Arab world a lesson: Israel is the power in the Middle East to be reckoned with.

"Missile Tov": The Gaza Split

Posted January 12, 2009 by David Michaelis

For the first time in 8 years, there is an opening for a new vision of the U.S. role in the Middle East. Obama as president coupled with the emerging new peace lobby JStreet in Washington looks like it will be a promising combination. For too long the Jewish opinion has been perceived as "One Voice". Led by AIPAC and the ADL, other dissident voices among the Jews faced heavy pressure not to publish their opinions. But now, as the debate has been raging about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, many more voices are being heard doubting Israeli motivation and direction...

14 Days in Gaza

Posted January 9, 2009 by David Michaelis

We yearn for peace but we do not want it now! We Israelis have been living in Israel, as a result of 2000 years of yearning to return to Zion.  As history has shown, there was a gap of a few centuries between wanting and praying to return, and acting upon it. Our wishes and dreams are part of our self-made identity, but do not necessarily agree with the reality on the ground. So we live in a bipolar world that enables us to deceive ourselves into believing that we are justified in acting in a way that does not correspond with the declared final wish. Be it return to Zion or peace with our neighbors. This underlying pattern of behavior is the key to understanding why Israelis perceive themselves as a "crying and shooting" army...

Israel Loses War on Middle East Airwaves

Op-ed piece by Jalal Ghazi, Associate Producer of Mosaic: World News from the Middle East, originally posted Jan. 9, 2009 at New American Media
In Arab media, images tell only part of the story. Arab countries are broadcasting graphic images of the violence in Gaza on their state-sponsored television stations in order to mask their own failure to do anything tangible to stop the Israeli military operation. The end result, however, is the demonizing of an already hated enemy without advancing solutions...
