1.  What is Link TV's Mission?

Link TV uses media and the power of stories to engage, educate, and activate viewers to become involved in the world. Founded in 1999, Link TV national network and websites (Linktv.org, Viewchange.org, and News.Linktv.org) provide a unique perspective on international news, current events, and diverse cultures, presenting issues not often covered in the US media. We connect American viewers with people at the heart of breaking events, organizations in the forefront of social change and the cultures of an increasingly global community.

Link TV is operated by KCETLink, the national independent public transmedia organization formed by the December 2012 merger between KCET and Link Media. A viewer-supported 501c(3) organization, its content is distributed nationally via satellite on DirecTV 375 and DISH 9410, in Southern and Central California via broadcast, as well as via various digital delivery systems. KCET and Link TV are services of KCETLink. For additional information about KCETLink productions, web-exclusive content, programming schedules and community events, please visit KCET.org or LinkTV.org.

In most cases, a financial contribution is the best way to help us empower viewers to take action to make a difference in critical issues around the world, from human rights abuses to environmental sustainability. You can make an impact on the world. Please support Link TV now!

12.  What is a sustaining supporter and how can I become one?

Our Sustaining Supporters provide monthly donations, and help us plan for the future with gifts we can count on. We will charge your credit card every month (minimum $10), or send a reminder to pay by check. To sign up as a Sustaining Supporter, please call 866-485-8848, visit our Contribute Page, or fill out our simple Sustaining Support form online here.

13.  I have made a contribution -- when will I receive my gift(s)?

We appreciate your support and make every effort to acknowledge your donation as soon as possible.

If you have made a donation and don't wish to receive premium gifts, you should receive acknowledgement and a thank you within two weeks of your donation. If you have requested a premium thank you gift(s), it will arrive within two weeks of the end of a Pledge Drive, so you can expect to receive your gifts within six weeks of making your donation.

14.  Do you sell individual premium items, like DVDs, t-shirts, and books?

No, unfortunately we can't offer any items outside of our pledge program giving structure. We plan for premium thank you gifts based on the donations we receive during our pledge drives.

15.  Can I substitute one item in my gift package for another one?

No, our pledge packages have been specially prepared as our way of saying thank you for donations at various levels.

16.  Can I pay in installments for any gift package?

No, but you may want to become a monthly Sustaining Supporter during our Pledge Drives. Sustaining donors receive a special thank you gift for their ongoing contributions.

17.  Will you send the gift to a different person/address for me as a gift?

Because of IRS 501(c)3 stipulations and our small staff, we are only able to send premium packages to the original donor.

18.  I have made gifts over the years, and didn't receive any premium gifts. Why?

Premium thank you gifts are only offered through our on-air Pledge Drives, and not through the mail or online gifts made outside of the pledge periods.
