Disasters leave not only a humanitarian crisis in their wake; they also spark a profound moment of unity in the global community, as the world acknowledges a common goal to help those in need. In July 2010, heavy monsoon rains in Pakistan caused devastating floods that displaced 20 million people from their homes and killed almost 2,000.
