Bio:
Joslyn Rose Lyons is an Award Winning Filmmaker. She founded her own film house JOG9 productions in 2002, where she went on to direct/produce the award winning feature length documentary film "Soundz of Spirit". A film that explores the creative process and spiritual connection in hip hop culture. Her passion for community has led her to serve as the Director/Producer for a Social Services multi media campaign with Sway (MTV) and actor Delroy Lindo, a series geared towards bringing awareness to the Bay Areas foster care and adoption crisis. After the success of the media-campaign, the young filmmaker was brought on board to direct additional PSA's for the Community, hired again by Alameda County this time to spearhead the child exploitation crises in the community through a series of PSA's. Joslyn's filmmaking tends to focus around the creative journey to inspire change and the spiritual within. She works with Los Angeles based Simmons Lathan Media Group. With a large portfolio in music television, Joslyn Rose has worked as a West Coast affiliate segment producer and television host for BET Networks and for Current TV, producing short-form episodes on music, fashion, religion, dance and news stories that would highlight the pharmaceutical industry in America and complimentary medicine, including holisic health care. Also directing/poducing a number of epk's and music videos including "The Majors" for Universal Records/Hiero Imperium and "The Path" with CBN Global / MYX TV and more recently collaborating with Grammy award winning recording artist and actress Erykah Badu. Joslyn is the director/producer of a new docu-series entitled "The Fundamental Project" which highlights the female voice in the industry today and she is currently in pre-production on a feature film entitled "Desinty" with the SF Film Society.
