GAZA HAS BECOME THE LARGEST PRISON IN THE WORLD AND THE NUMBER OF DEAD AND INJURED HAS BECOME CATASTROPHIC. WE HOPE WITH ALL OF OUR HEARTS, HERE AT MEANDER FILMS, THAT THE NATIONS AND GOVERNMENTS INVOLVED WILL HAVE THE WISDOM AND COMPASSION TO STOP THE RAMPANT AND SENSELESS MURDER OF THE PEOPLE TRAPPED IN GAZA." Walid Zeid (Alexandria, Egypt) and Lee Bennett (Atlanta, GA) are brothers-in-law. As Meander Films, they collaborate in the writing, direction, and production of music videos and short films. Their first feature film, 357, is in pre-production.
Walid Zeid a talented Writer/Producer/Director has been involved in the Entertainment business both in the United States and Egypt. Walid will be busy in 2009 as a Producer for the film "357" as well as his duties as head of production for Meander Films.
Currently in development: original screenplays The Assyrian and Homeland.
Lee Bennett is the writer and director of the original suspense/crime drama screenplay 357 (2008, pre-production). Other work includes a novel, The Mother Tongue, and The Plantation, an original historical horror/action screenplay in development with his brother, Robert Bennett.
Lee Bennett is also the CEO and founder of Backwood Entertainment, a Hip Hop record label with global internet distribution. Lee directed the Old Skooly High video's "How We Do" for Vibe Magazine and "Little Boxes" for Showtime and Weeds. Old Skooly High was named Vibe Magazine Verses National Rap Battle Champions in August 2007.
