Film Description

Through a personal dialogue, father and daughter investigate questions of human origin and make reference to the subtle feminist spirit and universal appeal that is expressed in the story of Adam and Eve as it is revealed in the Koran. The biblical story of Adam and Eve is compared, and the English translation of the Koran is also discussed in terms of its inadequacy to retain the same expression of equality of the sexes that is expressed in the Arabic text. A moment of uninhibited natural interaction is captured of the relationship between a Muslim father and his daughter in her search to understand from where she comes and what lies in the realm beyond.
